The Three Tiers of Forwards

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

With regards pure football Gooch is the best. Unlike some of the other top forwards mentioned he has that gift to take the big chance when it comes his way. In this current era he is probably the nearest thing to what Peter Canavan was like - but Canavan had more to his game than Gooch - I have to say that even though I'm a Derryman!

Of the others Bradley, Forde, Meehan McDonnell, McFadden etc. would be up there with the top finishers with Joyce, McGuigan, O'Sullivan and Muldoon being up there with the top play-makers in the game.

Des Dolan should be in tier 2.

Ross Munnelly should get a mention, tier 3.

Bradley is class. Tier 1.

If Bernard Brogan is fit for Tier 3, then that opens it up to a lot of forwards throughout the country. Glennon, Dillon, Galvin and I'm sure theres more.
