Come on Monaghan..Time to put Derry out again..We dont need any motivation ..Only 3 teams i iwould rather not play Tyrone,Dublin and Cork..If derry are not fighting with them selves they are trying to fight with each other...Come on Monaghan..

I hope it' a proper game of football. There can't be any messing this time in any case because the eyes of the world will be upon them. Let football be the winner.
The Sky Predictor says Derry 1-13 - Monaghan 0-11.
However on another subject - this is the second year in a row that the big hitters in ulster have met in qualifier rd 2 . so by qualifier 3, 2 of derry,armagh and monaghan will be gone, whilst potentially the rubbish of cavan and donegal cruise into the next ones. It's a joke. It just makes it easier for Kerry to cruise on through to the semis. What if Kerry had Monaghan now, then derry followed by galway in the quarters, and cork in the semi with tyrone in the all-ireland final ?? They would get nipped somewhere along the line, this just makes it a procession to the final. Could Kerry beat Derry one Saturday and then Monaghan the following saturday (after monaghan fielding a 3rd string against longford) ? I would hardly think it.

Heard they arent even gonna bother bringing a ball for this one!!

Only codding, i expect a tight physical affair but both teams will realise that they'll be unable to get away with any of the nasty stuff this time around. Should be an interesting game.

Lads, 1 point from play in the entire second half between Armagh and Monaghan on Saturday night. Why are we even hoping that the Derry Monaghan match will be any different after everything we've seen so far? I also honestly honestly hope it is not shown on TV because it will mean the other matches and teams may not get shown. Yes, I can turn it off if it is covered, but I want to be able to watch the other teams at some stage. We've seen both Derry and Monaghgan twice already and I think people are intelligent enough to realise that the likelyhood of this being any good are low. Hopefully TV3 and RTE will see it the same way. It will probbaly be very very competitive alright but so are all the moms at the local Irish Dancing classes (or so I've heard!!).

id say this game could be even worse than the last one with Monaghan mad to get back at them so using all means necessary.

Niamh;

"100% sure Mc Guckin will be reinstated, sure Sean Cavanagh even wrote a letter to the CCC staying Mc Guckin didn't shoulder him".

Is this prediction in the same vain as your one about Dick Clerkin also been suspended after the last game. Even the Gods get it wrong sometime.

This match should be held at two in the morning in the carpark of a nightclub. They could sort it out properly there.

Can't any Derry supporters travailing to Clones for this should be a shoe in for Monaghan ,I hope they do it as they have much more talented footballers than Derry

I don't mean to be offensive but are Monaghan and Derry people totally crazy? You talk as if you're contenders for the All-Ireland, you compare your teams to Kerry even though your teams are absolute rubbish who revert to football for a few minutes in a game and spend the rest of the time fouling. Now before you get all uppity I know that Wexford are no great shakes but we don't claim to be and before you slag me off for being anti-Ulster I'm specifically talking about Monaghan and Derry as I love watching Tyrone and over the years have really enjoyed the brilliance of Down in their pomp. As a young lad I remember shouting on the great Monaghan team in the eighties. These two teams need to be beaten as soon as possible so we can see somoe football. As football teams go your no better than Wexford, Limerick Longford or Tipp but these counties don't go on as if they are contenders. You certainly can't compare the teams to Tyrone, Kerry, Cork etc.

Thy Kingdom Come, do you know how many points Kerry scored from play from the 41st to the 72nd minute of play in the replay against Cork ? ONE POINT. So please, desist from your patronising attitude. Kerry's disciplinary record was one of the worst in the country last year. So please don't be so obviously hypocritical.

I see the UN are thinking about sending a peace ambassador to Clones on Saturday but decided against it as they think the Banty Blues and the Cassidy Deargs will see sense and embrace each other before the Match. Reminds minds me of that Wet Wet Wet song "Love is all Around Us"
