Best Hurls and Hurley Makers

Who are the best suppliers of top quality hurls at the moment?

I have gotten hurls from O'Dea, Larkin, Philip Doyle Jnr, Murphy, O'Connor, Delaney, Setanta, Moran and lately from Keady in Oranmore.

Keady is now using scots ash and will shape the boss to your liking and the hurls have great spring.

Who are the other suppliers that provide top quality ash that wont break easily!

Never heard of Molloys hurls. What are they like? What kind of bass does he have with his hurleys? Do you have a contact number for him? Have seen both torpey and o'brien.

Keady's hurls ar €25 a pop. That seem to be the going rate anywhere these days. Can usually shape the boss to your liking there and then if you don't like what he has in stock.

Seamus Canning (087-2889700) in Mullagh makes a nice hurl, Joe uses them all the time, so if they're good enough for him .............. I also like Phillip Larkin's (091-841834) hurls, he's just outside Loughrea on the 'old' Ballinasloe Road. I recommend soaking in linseed oil for at least 4 weeks, let the hurl season. It will be more flexible and should last longer.
