first of all congratulations to the antrim TEAM on a fine victory against cavan. however I wish to highlight a few disturbing issues i witnessed and was the subject of such. now before everyone gets on the band wagon about this i want to say that I do not consider all antrim supporters to be tarred with the same brush. whilst walking down to the game with my brothers yesterday, whilst passing a group of antrim supporters, one of my brothers who was wearing a cavan jersy, a few in particular, stated to us " **** of home, ye free state ********". I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and thankfully my brother didn't re act...he was absolutely livid.... I thought that in this day and age, that sort of thuggery was in the past but obviously not, a small minority reminded me of the louts you see at games in England, now don't get me wrong, fair play to the antrim supporters, very vocal getting behind your team, great to see. but surely that sort of statement from a supporter following the national sport of IRELAND should warrant such a statement

i can honestly say that that was the best day of my life. I actually have properly lost my voice for the first time in my life--we never stopped singing and chanting for the boys for the entire game.

I witnessed the same from a small minority. They know who they are & should be ashamed of their behaviour, pure thugery. They sang Celtic songs most of the day aswell & a few chants of "oh west belfast oh west belfast". But as I say a very small minority. After the game & late into the night I had Cavan supporters over congratulating us on our win the way it should be. All the best in the qualifiers Cavan.
