Dellboy, I thought the title of this thread was Kevin McGuckians Red Card.

But to answer your question, of course Dooher didnt over react, he went down liek you would ex[ect a man needing stitches to go down. A bit like Cavanagh did.

I cannot comment on the other incidents your are talking about as I did not see them.

Haha Willie - no I am not IrvinestownGael but I am familiar with his work.

Listen - my last post was probably a little harsh claiming that all Tyrone posters have tunnel vision when it comes to incidents involving Tyrone, but Cavanagh in the incident yesterday went down holding his face & I believe that contributed to McGuckin getting sent off, when he did nothing wrong.

I was just interested to see other peoples opinion on the matter & if anybody concurred with my opinion of it.

Dellboypolecat What about Ricey goading PB every 5 minutes? There is a lovely picture of him in today's Irish News at it? The pushing in the back he was at on Skinner they whole game? These things happened Dellboy, get over it. Also, wasn;'t going to say anything about it but you say about Dooher, what about Martin Penrose striking Joe Diver in the face, or Colm Cavanagh throwing a fist a Barry Mc Goldrick and throwing him to the ground? I'm not saying there should be anything done about this but please don't say that Derry were being nasty, there were about 4 unsavoury incidents in that game, none which merit a suspension.

Niamh I also seen that photo in the Irish news more like a Valintines picture than goading Ricey and Paddy maybe having a love in?

Niamh County: Derry Penrose was getting thumped and he was trying to stand his ground.Mc Goldrick had little interest in playing football. For ricey what is wrong with goading Derry players.Every other players in ireland does it?

319949 Why does ricey get away with goading all the time, a linesman or an umpire must see this why cant the ref stop it with a yellow card.

By definition, Tyrone's defenders were set up to stop Derry, and Paddy Bradley in particular, from playing. And they did that very effectively.

Back to the subject the thread was actually started on, the referee should not need the reaction of a player to determine if an opposition player should be sent off. McGuckin didn't deserve to walk.

Dellboypolecat County: Tyrone Posts: 5611 319967 Your team indroduced everything bad in football, they have dragged ulster football to levels its never been at,Ulster pre 03 had great football matchs and back in the early 90s the football being played in Ulster was top class. But Tyrone 95/96 realised they couldnt win playing football so introduced negative tactics to the game.Which are destroying it

McGuckins red card was rediculous, If the ref wanted to make an example he should've sent a player off from both Derry and Tyrone.
