Capacity of Wexford park is 25,000 tickets wont be an issue, as there was only 8,000 people there a few weeks back when they defeated offally...... New Ross wont be an issue either on a Saturday i was told as its ( mon - fri 9-5 ) there are problems alright. but Limerick fans should get down there in their thousands because i can guarantee ya 100% that Wexford are waiting in the long grass and will not lye down easily.... Man for man Limerick are by far better than Wexford but it's a team game and any lapse in concentration wexford will ate limerick alive.... hurlin is all they have down there and they wont give it up easy... Look down through the years and the counties that they have beaten with a sub standard team..... APPROACH WITH CAUTION I SAY AND TREAT THEM LIKE YOU WOULD TREAT KILKENNY ONLY THAT WAY LIMERICK WILL WIN..... TREAT THEM LIKE THEY DID IN 2001 AND GET READY FOR A DEFEAT..... WEXFORD ARE ALWAYS GUARANTEED 0NE GOOD GAME A YEAR TO PAPER THEIR CRACKS, DONT LET IT BE THIS ONE.

Wizardn will u relax. How can u be so arrogant?
"Man for man Limerick are far better than Wexford" please explain this comment.

We have barely a 50% chance of winning this game especially as its an away fixture. We couldn't beat Offally in Limerick last year. What makes you think we are so superior to Wexford who have already disposed of the aforementioned opposition. What has inspired such confidence. Surely not the displays of last year and this year so far. Of course everyone should travel and get behind the team and hopefully we can get a result to save our season.

Furthmore Wizard what do mean all they have is hurling? Did you miss the Gaelic Football Championship last year? Are you unaware Wexford currently have a League of Ireland side performing better than Limericks team? Are you unaware of the recent Grand Slam winner and Lion from Wexford. And least of all how could you be unaware of the strawberries and potatoes :-) .

Apologies for the negativity just getting furstrated by some of the comments as to how bad Wexford are and how all we have to do is show up. I reckon 1-13 will win this game just not sure with the way we are playing if we can manage it.

i never suggested once that wexford were "so bad", i merely stated that we are better man for man and have been for years, we have just been very unlucky with results over the years with the players we have had. Beaten by a point here and there and beatin in replays....etc Given previous record and the way limerick approach qualifiers i would say that we are doomed.. Now that's just from previous experiences. Wexford seem to thrive in the qualifiers more so and last year were unlucky to be beaten by Waterford by a point at semple stadium. All i am suggesting is approach with caution because they will beat us out the gate if we are not prepared.... yes they have all those sports obviously!!! but are predominately steeped in hurling history and are more focused on the small ball irrespective of how bad they are. how many limerick men were on the lions tour, look at our football team and how well they are doing also have been unlucky over the years, a decent league of ireland team and a load of senior rugby teams hurling is not as important to us as a whole as it is to them and that was my point. They are not sidtracked by other sports, hurling is always number one down there no matter how bad they are doing at it and will not allow limerick come down and beat them. This is why limerick must be prepared.

07_LK_1973 thanks for giving us the respect we deserve! I dont think Limerick are man-for-man far better than Wexford either, they are 2 average teams and it's a case of who turns up on the day. Both sides have better backs than forwards I think and i'd say your right enough 1-13 or so will win it. But i cant see where the confidence of being far superior to Wexford is coming from.

Best of luck and may the best team win it.

Also that was 8000 paying customers - there was about the same again at least in kids at the game. New Ross can be a bottlekneck at all times and not just Mon-Fri. If Limerick bring a big crowd it will be bedlam but if the Gardai are awake they should have a guard there to keep the thing moving.....dont depend on it!

Its a shame Tobin has left the panel. Surely to God he is better than Sheenan or Donie. Derseved to play some part in the two games againts waterford after the display of other forwards.

Very disappointing that Tobin has opted out. Think alot of fans would have started him or else have him as one of the 1st subs in. He is no world-beater but not bad and we cant afford to lose any forward who can chip in with a point or 2. Hope there are no other opt outs. Please god dont let this be a repeat of Offaly last year

Tobin should have got a run against waterford. I mean bringing Eoin Foley back in the squad 3 weeks and tobin at it all year. Serious error of judgement there. Selectors should have a look at themselves. If we dont do the job on saturday week it will look very ominous for the future....... I hope we win. We need to get ahead of wexford and quench the fire in their bellies as a bit like us they rely on passion quite a bit.

Vibes are not looking good for Limerick but sometimes that can bind a team together rather than tear them apart.

This team didn't get bad overnight lads. The potential is there, the problem is getting it to surface. I believe Limerick will win but I don't expect Wexford to be an easy challenge. Wexford are a stronger team than most would give credit for and could beat ANY munster team on their day. If we hit top gear though we should be able to see them off. We need a performance like the semi final against Waterford in 2007 to rekindle some of the passion that has been quinched in both the team, and sadly the supporters aswel. COME ON LADS DO US PROUD!!

I'd say the cheers were just as loud in Limerick sir!! Wexford certainly no world beaters and I certainly wasnt in that bar, to be honest i'd be hopeful more than confident, and i'd say the cheer was at avoiding Galway as we are as good as Limerick/Clare. Limerick drew with Waterford lads, who were last years AI finalists. They havent became a bad team over night and a wounded animal is a dangerous one!

Good luck.
