Limerick v Wexford

There will be adds from Wexford hotels in the Limerick local and Independent/Post papers this week offering deals.

Have a look there.

I think this game is more defining for Limerick than Wexford. To be fair to Wexford they have had a huge amount of injuries this year. For Limerick they need to deliver. A number of players will surely walk away when the season ends (ollie m & mark foley for def, prob donie, maybe gears, mike o'brien) some of the biggest characters in the team. Another limp display would be a disaster. Justin would prob reconsider and we would have another few year of building (we last won munster in 1996 and have only been to 2 munster finals since)

Dont worry about challenge games just make sure you are in Wexford Park on the 11th. Your county needs you!!!!

Limk Team v Offaly: Murray, Reale, Cosgrave, Dinny Mol, Hickey, Geary, Gavin, Dodge, Wayne Mc, Bangers, James Ryan, P Brown, N Moran, Breen, Shocks! If the subs dont get a chance in the challenge games then when do they get a chance?

i actually would have throught that it would have been a half team. Thats a fairly strong team they put out. poor form. Agree surely 3 new guys should have had a chance in the inside line. Pat Tobin & Donncha Sheehan should surely have started there instead of shocks and niall moran.

ur wasteing your time entering a team with out a good free taker...after 2007 why take shocks off the frees he was handy enuf at em i mean it gave him confidence...stick with 1 free taker you will win nothing without1...limerick would have won the first match if they had a solid free taker.....every1 would have been buzzing wed have been in two finals..pity really but were just not gud enuf i suppose is there any1 out there gud at frees..i just hope people will travel to cork and support the footballers....as limerick have a team capable of makeing history down there....all they can do is give it a lash and i hope when they are down 2 points with 10 mins to go they can look up and see that there is a stand and terrace full of green..trying to shout em over the line....it would be something else if we won,,,im sure weve everychance..but it would be a disgrace if they went down to a munster final in cork and hardly nobody turned up to support the team...people shud go out of there way to support em....if m ionest wev a better chance of winning a football allireland looking at the way killkenny are playing these days....great to see seamus hicky playing well

Honestly winning a football all-ireland would mean very little. Its hard to find a good football game (kerry v galway last year). If a huge Limerick crowd turned up in Pairc Ui Caoimh it would be just jumping on a bandwagon. I'm sure there are many genuine football fans out there and my opinion will not be popular but Sunday i am more looking forward to the Kilkenny v Dublin game (even though it may well end in a hiding)

I doubt the qualifier will be all ticket. Hope terrace tickets are no more than €20. Whats the capacity of Wexford Park? Would imagine a crowd around the 16,000 mark

Id say it will be all ticket, with ticket booths outside the ground like last time, capacity is 25,000. Id say about 12000-16000 would show up.

322070 I wonder who's fingers they will try to break this time !!

That's a very very cheap remark there county man, I expected better to be honest, i've lots of Limerick friends from my time in UL and they never mention the 1996 All-Ireland with such sour grapes. I dont think anyone from Wexford was or was hoping any Limerick person to bring this up but since you bring it up have a look at this.

I heard that too about some players leaving the panel. Not a good sign for the Wexford game.

Please don't be spinning negative vibes on here .

Limerick thrive on positivity .

Made enquiries at the railway station and their not laying on a special train which I think is an absolute disgrace . C.I.E. should ashamed of themselves considering all the rail business Limk supporters have given them over the last CENTURY . Unreal bad decision there .

Bus Eireann also are NOT laying on any coach service from Limk to Wexford for the match . This is a serious cockup between the Limk County Board and C .I .E .

As a result of these non existant travel options there will be a very low Limk attendance at the match .

This country is small enough to have everything but we don't have the brains to use what we've got through complete incompetence , ineptitude and sheer laziness .

Lads i ran bus eireann and they e mailed me a time table and said their is a service going from limerick to waterford then change at waterford then on to wexford 8.30 or 9.30 from limeirck in the morning it you get the 8.30 you should at about 12; 30 and a bit later, say a prayer that gaa give the match a 5.00p.m throw then that means bus leaves wexford station at 19.25 in waterford for 20. 50 for that bus then get then back in limerik for 23.15 . i know its outrageous but it is an optain. Plus you would have a few hours in wexford. i havwe timtable somehow i will try and find a link for it and post it.also i went to irish rail .ie and in jourey i put limerick to wexford and a route came up 3 changes though put it is doable it worked out at 26 euro something for a student return and just a few euro extra for an adult. and a full timetable came up. i am going to reserach the rail more and see waht i can find. also their most be some private bus operater who would be interested in filling a bus ?????

Lads i'd say you can get a bus to Waterford and one on to Wexford. Also if you are going to the game be advised that there is regularly chronic traffic problems in New Ross, so leave plenty of time!!
