Ulster football is boring.

The Ulster championship is without doubt the most boring. This game is like a Junior A game, there is nothing good to say about this game.To come on here and slag off every other province is ridiculous after another poor Ulster clash.

It wasn't awful football, just really boring!
The atmosphere in Casement today seemed akin to a funeral.

Absolutely and totally mind numbingly boring.

Football is dreadful.

Thank goodness for Mayo yesterday.

As I said elsewhere I suspect Roscommon would win Ulster, easily.

With all due respect to a great Tyrone team, this was trully awful stuff to watch.

I blame Derry. A team with very limited talent (especially missing the individual talents like Doherty, Kielt and Muldoon) has to do two things: Work very very hard and drag more talented opposition down to their level. Derry did those two things for the first three quarters of the game today resulting in very poor fare for the spectator. It was only when Tyrone introduced fresh talent and prowess to the game that they could throw off the shackles that Derry had put on them and go on to let class shine through, destroying Derry. Now I cant fault Derry for hard graft and effort and trying to do what they had to do but it results in negative boring play. Im not saying they were dirty either but the way they played was indicative of a team without much in the line of deadly, natural talent. It was sad to see Tyrone getting bogged down in this with their great individual talent like Kavanagh & O'Neill not shining as brightly as they should but when Dooher, Brian McGuigan and Sean O'Neill came on it was like fresh air had been breathed into the game. Talents began to shine through which of course, went in Tyrones favour.

I dont want to get into Anti-Ulster stuff because to class an Ulster team like Tyrone as anything but trully great footballers is unfair but this was very poor tack for the most part due to Derrys negativity!

You're not taking your nonsense pills again, what have we told you before? That wasn't great but what are Tyrone to do? Teams try to mix it with them, they give it back and then end up grinding out results;teams play football against them and they outplay them. Tyrone can't win sometimes but their class is there for all to see, anyone who says otherwise has an agenda for their own reasons. Derry deserved to lose and they are turning into a cynical team of mixers. Losing respect for Derry fast.

Football is turning into Rugby League I fear. What can the GAA do to reduce the impact of negative tactics that has been so prominent accross the board this year?

? That wasn't great but what are Tyrone to do?

Learn how to read.

And stop being paranoid. I never mentioned Tyrone except to congratulate them. Ulster football is dire.

Tyrone are a good side despite this.

But please, NO-ONE try to tell me that Ulster is the highest standard.

With all due respect to an improved Cavan and a valiant Antrim, I think for the first time in a long time were seeing Ulster develope into a two tear province: Tyrone and then the rest a fair bit behind them.

Boring, no MJ, its cut and thrust, I know you connacht boys are used to playing the game at a higher level than the rest of us, 'pure football' i believe you like to refer to it as. It wasnt pretty by no means, i think the world and his dog would have predicted that beforehand, however a limited Derry side had to do what they could to stop the AI champions from playing, and in that respect they suceeded for 3/4 of the game, that said its nice to know that the Tyrone bench is bristling with class and potential match winners, and this my friend is how the 2009 AI will be won, by Tyrone of course.

You would do better to actually READ people's comments before replying to them. I SAID that the game wasn't great, and it wasn't, but how can anyone really balme Tyrone for that? Most of the negative stuff came from Derry who have abandoned their traditional attractive football for some silly physical masterplan.......that doesn't work. Tyrone are a superb side who sometimes have to react to the way their opponents are playing. It appears to me that you are more interested in sticking the boot into ANY Ulster match and team no matter who is playing. You would do better to look at your own backyard and the worst Championship side I have ever seen Roscommon. Now if ANYTHING would turn people off our games last night's match would big time. The word BORING could have been invented for that game, and Connaught football in general.

Physical? The ladies Twenty20 final was more physical.

The main problem was the lack of spirit or effort.
