Team to beat in Philly

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Tag2 you said what i said i thought it was ridiculous a team kicking a ball 40 yards backwards instead of goign forward. Doc 5 i never said once that 3 or 4 people are keeping the GAA goign in Philadelphia, if that was the case it would be screwed. All you ever hear people complaining about the field is too bumpy, the lines aren't straight, aim for the duck tape when taking a score, etc, and that is all you ever seeing those four or five people doing. You come on this website and never see anything positive about Philadelphia. I thought it was a great tournament last Saturday and i was intersested to see what other people thought, and all you see is well done Boston for the great tournament. Now come on. All I am hoping for is everyone to work together, hopefully get the new field in Limerick going, and Philadelphia could be back up there with the top cities.

Now that all the Philadelphia teams will be traveling to Boston Labor day weekend, what is the arrangement for traveling. I have not been to the Playoffs since 2006 when they were in Philadelphia, would be interested in traveling, if any of the teams have extra space on their coach.

Good to see the notre dames winning in Baltimore at the weekend! Well done girls. By the sound of it they have really put in alot of work and are gettin the rewards. Some great summer players out this year along side maureen, ciara and girls. i personaily think that use will win then junior A in boston and will be the only philly team that will bring home a cup.the Mairead Farrells are totaly out of there dept in senior wen they struggle against a junior A team. really dont think they will win in boston unless they pull something out of the bag. good luck notre dames in boston hope use can to it girls.

The Pat's of this world have nothing to offer, very sad to think we have such small minded people around this town.

It is great for Philadelphia Football to have two senior teams going into the finals in Boston. What a boost to football in Philly if one or both were to bring home a North American championship.
Very best of luck to both Kevin Barry's and Mairead Farrell's and all the Philadelphia teams.

Will the Limerick field be ready for the games next year? It would be perfect timing as I hear rumors that Cardinal Dougherty will be sold in 2010.
The field in Limerick was supposed to have started in May but I have heard nothing about it in a while, any updates.

I believe it started in May or June of this year, Was at the ground breaking ceremony towards the end of May, and they said it was starting after that

I think its a disgrace the comments bein posted on this board, coming from philly we should all show each other a bit more support. I also think its a great boost to see two senior teams coming from philly, especially the mairead farrells who in their first year have remained unbeaten by many teams throughout north america and even an all irish team from tipperary. All girls have shown great determination and proved to be a credit to philadelphia football both on and off the pitch. Goodluck too all our teams especially our two senior teams.

Speaking as one of the sanction players from the Mariead Farrel Ladies club in philly, I would just like to say that this summer has been amazing. Coming out to "the unknown" is a daunting thought for any player. The treatment that I have recieved from this club is teatament to the fact that they are an extremely professional organisation, which in their first year have surpassed alll expectations. The standard of play has been of a high quality throughout and I have no doubt that with the talent that exists between base and sanction players the Mariead Farrell ladies will do not only themselves proud, but the whole of Philly in their bid for their first senior championship!!! The treatment that each girl has recieved not only with regard to living and working conditions, but the training gear, bags and tracksuites is a complete credit to the people behind the scenes. We hope that we can repay their kindness by winning in Boston!! Mariead Farrell Abu:)

I love Philly. Very good post, your team certainly was very professional in every thing they done all year, a credit to all involved. I wish you and all the teams in Philly good luck in Boston, it is quite a tall order going in at senior level your first year out, but good luck to you.

TAG, You could start by telling the truth. You use that word NARROWLY very loosely.
I watched the kevin barrys get well beat by a far superior boston side.
