the marshes in newry and pairc esler are the same pitch

it is worse than clones when wet but sure it is built in the middle of a bog!

i can have no complaints when it is dry though!

The new surface is Croke Park is incredible,The fact that it will have to be relayed next year seems strange though when the likes of Thurles and Páirc Tailteann have equally good pitches which have been there for years, the GAA would be wiser getting it permanently done in my opinion
Parnell Park is a very poor pitch-big hill and poor surface..

Now this is Casement Park, certainly in the North, and no one disagrees. It has the best surface of them all.

I suppose being from Cork I'm partial to the "park", Pairc Ui Chaoimh that is to anybody outside of Munster. Although I have to admit the grounds have not aged so gracefully. Built in 76 it was rated one of the most modern stadiums in Europe and while it is still the one of best places to watch a game (either from a packed terrace {which in 1976 were slated to hold 17,500 and both stands held 10,000} Needless to say due to safety the terrace capacities have been significantly been reduced. There are plans to build a new stadium which will hold 60,000 but I have to wonder how we are going to fill it!
Secondly like most Cork men I love Thurles but apart from being a good hunting ground for Cork, the ground's is OK at best. It has had some recent improvements but it needs much more. Love the town on a Cork Tipp match day. (Recently saw Cork lose to Tipp there. Don't rule us out yet!)
In Cork we are fortunate to have new magnificent facilities at Nemo and Mallow but last week I had the privilege to visit the grounds at Clonakilty. A sight to behold! ( I'm told it cost 9 million). Four full size playing fields and a stand that most county teams would love to have. Not to mention the bar, gym and everything else one would need
Can't leave out Killarney, especially on local derby day.
