generally most pitches in hurling strongholds would be classed as cool by footballers. example above cusack park.

Caement Park the best I played on

Clones, altough one of my fav towns for a game has a terrible pitch if the slightest bit of moisture is in the air!

Thurlas always looks in top shape

I was in the new Mallow complex for a match in January and the pitch was the best I have seen.

as a footballer, any of the hurling pitches i've played have generally better surfaces. played a challenge match once in cusack park, ennis on a hot summer days and it was the most enjoyable surface i can remember playing on. semple stadium was nice but not as nice.

The new training pitch in Carton House is supposed to be phenomonal but can't see many teams availing of it!

Re : Delboy

I meant that the pitch is fantastic but the reputation of Navan is that the stadium is ready to fall down (which it is) and that the wholefacility is poor but its not the pitch is incredible

Although I dislike Pearse stadium because of its location and lack of atmosphere, besides the point it is not situated in North Galway-The home of football,it does have the nicest surface in Ireland bar Croker.

Pearse stadium is one of the worst surfaces in the country. There is constantly matches being called off due to the poor pitch

It does not matter about the pitch.
