Brooster park Fermanagh, Mayo played Tyrone in a league quater final there a few years ago. Tyrone won by a big score. The week leading up to the game all and sundry were complaing that the venue was not central ect ect ect, after the game all were well impressed with the facilities and the whole set up. Local radio in Mayo were well impressed.

Not a chance that Clones could be even considered in the best pitch category! Not a bad pitch in Summer but if it rains at all its boggy especially on the stand side. This despite the fact that the pitch has been drained and raised numeous times. The Marshes in Newry has to be be up there.

Clones is a disaster, that pitch was never right from day one. Croker has had it's fair share of pitch problems when you think about all the money that was spent on it. Breffni usually holds up alright as does Casement but wouldn't you really need to have played on the actual turf a few times to know?

Obliviously no pitch can compete with Croke Park because its gets hundreds of thousands spent on it every year. However there are a lot of pitches out there that aren't far away from the same standard with a lot less money being spent on them yearly. Clones isn't even the best pitch in Monaghan never mind Ireland. The best pitch in Monaghan is Scotstown, hence why all the Monaghan league games are changed to it when the weather is bad. In saying that thought Monaghan doe have a lot of good pitches.
