Paddyogall are you not around long enough to know not to rise to the bait of the lancashire road mob?It looks a fine job,but I hope your not counting those concrete seats as an all seater, the ones that numb your arse into oblivion, the feelin only comin back into it when your on the way back through frenchpark. fredrickwood (Roscommon) - Posts: 2871 - 15/06/2009 22:31:33 312721 Link 0 |
I hear that there will be big sponsorship for the stand from Goulding's Fertilizers - in recognition of the team.... Dubinmeath (Dublin) - Posts: 1123 - 15/06/2009 23:10:42 312781 Link 0 |
The final capcity is a bit of a mystery. It was going to be 42,000 including the new seatin at the albany end, however no work has started on this end yet,ive posted on many websites and nobody seems to know what is happening at that end, have they just forgotten about it? it's in the plans.Without the albany end being redeveloped the capacity will be 38,000. kimbap (Mayo) - Posts: 81 - 16/06/2009 00:16:32 312874 Link 0 |

Hope this ground doesn't end up like the gaelic grounds in Limerick. Loads of money spent on its redevelopment only to be barely used for the whole year. NavyNBlue (Dublin) - Posts: 1357 - 16/06/2009 16:34:38 313634 Link 0 |
I think the redevelopment could have been better. There seems to be loads of pillars holding up the roof of the stand and it is awful annoying watching a match when pillars are in the way.....also they are making alot of what seems to be a fairly standard press box John_3__7 (Meath) - Posts: 546 - 16/06/2009 19:24:16 313855 Link 0 |
Us Dubs had a pillar in Croker for years but it didn't do us much good............ I hope the Pillars ye have don't go banging into your manager like the Pillar in Croker!! Dubinmeath (Dublin) - Posts: 1123 - 16/06/2009 21:16:51 313974 Link 0 |
i think its absolutely ridiculous that in this modern era that they would build a stand with those poles. i haven't see a stand built in the last the 5 years with those in it and as the last poster said it hinders views and is very annoying. typical gaa, a 20th centuary stand in the 21st centuary.
