Awesome. Where are the corporate boxes? Are you sure that's the Press Box and not the spoon launching station? I hope they bring in the open draw soon - imagine playing Mayo in the new McHale in the 1st round! You'd think you'd died and gone to heaven........

I hope ye are gonna call it McHale Dub Stadium in recognition of all the Dublin supporters money that has built it ...

Landsdowne Road with 50,000 will beat ye to it I reckon.

It'd be great if McHale Dub Stadium was ready for 2011 - ye could celebrate the opening and the 60th anniversary of your last All ireland win .......

Surely in this day and age they could have build the stand without support pillars coming down in front of people!

I know that they seem to be fairly narrow, but surely a cantilivered roof wouldn't have cost that much more.
These are pretty mcuh standard on any new football stand, even League of Ireland grounds have them for all their new stands! Why do Mayo County Board insist on living in the past?

well the 16 Million all came from Mayo pockets via fund raising, loans and also some funding from the Connught council so no dub money build it, Its no Wembley or Croke Park thats for sure, But its Adequate for what we need it for, in all reality it might be full a few times a year so its no point in building a white elephant, i think it looks well its the biggest stand in Ireland outside of the one in Croke park and the main stand in Thurles and is 37,000 all seater state of the art Press facilities, changing room facilites, warming up area, County Board offices, Mueseum and sports shop are also some of the fantastic facilities not seen in the pictures. How ever attendance against Roscommon will be restricted to 25,000 due to Healt and saftey issues because it still is building site.

It would of cost an Extra 1.5 million that the county Board simply did not have due to lack of funding

Yet Leitrim could manage to their one right, despite being severely restricted in terms of population and fund-raising ability....

Mayo must just be happy to be second-best ;)
