Joe Brolly is a legend and a GAA man to the backbone...and that's coming from a Donegal man, a county he inflicted a fair bit of misery on !! Although i still say he should of been blown up for a shove in the back in the 1998 Ulster final, as he set up the winning goal in the last few minutes! I don't normally bask in any other persons misfortune however I have to say that I really really really took a ginormous amount of pleasure is seeing the smirk being wiped of the face Mr Joe Brolly Esq BL on this afternoons Sunday game programme. It couldn't have happened to a better fella. Squid squidword (Louth) - Posts: 2897 - 21/06/2009 17:06:23 318393 Link 0 |

All 4 (Lester included) are poor. I will now resort to tuning in just before throw in and switch over at half-time. Real Louth fan (Louth) - Posts: 3157 - 21/06/2009 18:47:18 318495 Link 0 |
lay off Joe. Never knew it was a crime to be passionate about your own county. After todays game he didnt start making excuses for derry, but just called it as it was and admitted tyrone were the better team. LagheyLad (Donegal) - Posts: 39 - 21/06/2009 18:49:16 318496 Link 0 |

So just because Brolly was a great footballer that give him carte blanche to say whatever he likes, no matter how biased, unsporting or personal it may be, is that really the basis of your arguement. cmx (Monaghan) - Posts: 446 - 21/06/2009 21:15:56 318676 Link 0 |
Get rid of Spillane, i think he is the most negative man, over exagerating everything in Ulster football he must think that the GAA is a non-contact sport or something.? Galway11 (Galway) - Posts: 570 - 21/06/2009 21:52:23 318710 Link 0 |
Brolly had me in stitches today when I watched the match back, say what you want about the man, he knows his stuff inside out and back to front, Spillane was treading water the entire times they discussed the complaints procedure. Also, what about O Rourkes face when Lyster said Colm wanted to confront Joeabout stuff said in the paper, Colm just togged himself.lol Niamh (Derry) - Posts: 2397 - 21/06/2009 23:13:45 318823 Link 0 |
Like joe Brolly or not he can certainly express himself and he obviously researches his subject before he speaks. Pat spillane on the other hand just says what first comes to mind . I am looking forward to seeing him manage a team with an extra forward should be interesting. I really cannot see what he brings to the seat other than a dislike of all things outside Kerry. derryman (Derry) - Posts: 3246 - 21/06/2009 23:32:49 318850 Link 0 |
Niamh he is a barrister so he should know all the legal stuff.Personally i like to see him dropped for a while his comments about Monaghan were kinda sickening to say the least jailhouse.usa (Galway) - Posts: 1155 - 21/06/2009 23:45:44 318869 Link 0 |
I agree. His comments about being glad that Monaghan were out were well out of order. If he has posted those comments on the HS he'd have been regarded as being bitter by other posters! superfarney (Monaghan) - Posts: 260 - 22/06/2009 09:16:32 318993 Link 0 |
