Meaghers on Richmond Road would be a local for me. Depending on mood/occasion: Quinns, Fagans, Big Tree, Ive House, Gills, Dicey Reillys, Hairy Lemon, Flannerys, Cassidy's. That's quite a few bars actually - I may need to take a good long look at myself.

Very hard to choose!! Too many great pubs, especially on the Northside!

If I'm looking for a good pint in a nice pub in the city centre I'd have to say the Long Hall or Keoghs.

keoghs and mc daids just off grafton st.
anseo and whelans on wexford st.
the sackville just off o'connell st.
o'donohues on baggot st (just cos its iconic, too many tourists)
sitting having a few tins laughing at the cricket boys in trinity is a laugh.
the cobblestone in smithfield sq is the best pub in dublin as far as i'm concerned.

They're the ones that spring to mind. I think guinness and hurling are the things i miss most about the old sod.

The Blacker.....Lovely pub/club whatever the hell it is.....

Big Tree for me though is always a good old spot, when it's open.

Grogan's on St William street....anyday pub - That's top of the league at the mo.
Whelans, cassidy's, Anseo, actually any boozer on Campden street
The Globe/Ri Ras
The Bar with No Name (i know that's an annoying piece of language but it's the best smoking area in the world) beside Hogans
Or Hogans
Long Haul - institution
Bull and Castle - The best German beer for like 3 euros a pint.
The Duke - Warm and busy
Bia Bar on a firday night - really good dj's and trendy as hell, but you wanna go in dressed as an off-duty stylist.

If you're into local pubs and can take a bit o' stick/hilarious banter go no further than Coolock village (on your dreary way back to Louth) and Kyles thereabouts. Don't go in there with a poncy haircut, tight jeans and worst of all a ManU t-shirt that look like it could fit a lady, they'll go to town on yo ass....... best pint of Guiness outside Africa!!!!!!!!

Lads, every weekend I drink in my beloved city, and for me there is one pub tops all the rest! (handy when you know the barmen too).

John Kehoes on Sth Anne St (off Grafton St)......beats everywhere else hands down!!.....that is where you will find Snuffy any given Saturday night!

Others:
McDaids....into Bruxells then from McDaids or Kehoes!
The Palace Bar (near Temple Bar, another Snuffy meeting spot for the first one!)
Mulligans....Poolbeg St.
Doyles / Bowes....just to the Tara St side of the front of Trinity College!.....Bowes is a hidden jem!
The Stags Head,
The Long Hall,
Hogans,
Sheehans....around the corner from The Hairy Lemon,
Grogans....around the other corner from The Hairy Lemon.....dont forget the mustard on the ham and cheese toastie!
The International Bar

Get to these three together down Merrion Row:
Doheney & Nesbitts,
O'Donohues,
Toners

then when yer on yer way off to Coppers go around the corner to Leeson St and see an old Dublin family run pub before it disappears forever. Best pint in the city. A hidden gem and one of the last places in the whole country with 5 Guinness taps in a row:.....................HARTIGANS!!!!

Quick jar in the Conradh then off to Coppers!!

Regards,

Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael
