Roght now, Kerry. Especially if they win Sam this year, then they will have 5 All Irelands. 5 in 10 years....!! Now if Tyrone win it this year they will take the crown as they will both have 4 but Tyrone will have the edge in Kerry Tyrone battles, so this is the deciding year. If neither win Sam then Kerry take the title for simply having won more Sams in the decade. Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 02/06/2009 15:09:43 299658 Link 0 |

Off the top of my head, Dara & Tomas are the only 2 that I can think of. If so, how can it possibly be deemed to be the same team? To call Kerry the 'Team of the Decade', when Tyrone have convincingly beaten them every time the 2 have been at full strength, is the biggest piece of false marketing since RTE released its review of the '70s, and called it 'Decade of the Dubs'. ye must take into consideration that tyrone are in a much harder province so there are alot more pitfalls along the way, i would say it is as hard for any team to win an ulster title, as it is for kerry to win an all ireland, in fairness any team from ulster that wins sam have to do it the hard way unlike kerry, millhouse (Meath) - Posts: 892 - 02/06/2009 15:39:06 299694 Link 0 |
millhouse. winning Ulster does not come into the argument. Tyrone won 2 out their 3 All Irelands by not winning Ulster. Real Kerry Fan (None) - Posts: 2957 - 02/06/2009 15:44:00 299699 Link 0 |
Stupid idea developed by the media prior to last year's all-ireland final, and quickly forgotten about thereafter (i wonder why). MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 02/06/2009 15:50:36 299702 Link 0 |
Thomas, hand on heart so, If say Kerry win Sam this year and they then have 50% of all irelands available in the decade, do you still think Tyrone would be classed as the team of the decade when team means county as you know well!!! Seriously now Thomas? Liamwalkinstown (Dublin) - Posts: 8166 - 02/06/2009 16:00:10 299717 Link 0 |
Yawn ! Lads it is as simple as this, a team is judged on there success over a period of time, not on a head to head basis! Keryy have won more All Irelands, therefore warrant the title, simple. So lads would ye ever stop clutching at straws about head to heads etc etc.. and just get over yer fascination with Kerry. Ciarrai Abu (Overseas) - Posts: 1050 - 02/06/2009 16:05:02 299724 Link 0 |

Kerry obvioulsy it! God once a team wins 3 all irelands they are seen as the team of the decade? I hope yous remeber how many Sams Kerry won! Doireegurlie (Derry) - Posts: 337 - 02/06/2009 16:11:26 299730 Link 0 |

Was that because (yawn) Tyrone won (Yawn) so the Southern (double yawn) media would have (yaaaaawn) had to recognise (yaaaaaaaawn) Tyrone as (yaawwwnnn) the team of ........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! MichaelO (Tyrone) - Posts: 820 - 02/06/2009 16:37:32 299750 Link 0 |

tyrone are team of the decade without question.they won all the duals between the two the three times they played.kerry won there all irelands again weaker teams .mayo collapsed twice as usual and so did cork.tyrone also had a lot harder routes to win theirs as munster is easily got out of compared to ulster pd73 (Louth) - Posts: 322 - 02/06/2009 16:59:21 299783 Link 0 |
