I'd say Lettermore will have a good chance at winning the Championship this year, with all their top players back training and another on the way home from the States, they almost beat Menlough with half their Junior team. Kilconly also look good and not too sure about Monivea yet. Carna & Monivea should be a good game.. What do ya think!!!!! football player (Galway) - Posts: 5 - 24/06/2009 11:21:04 321591 Link 0 |
wouldnt right of kerrill there strong and very fit think they bet menlongh. athenry only lost by 5 points against monivea in first round after been down by ten points after ten min and had 70% of ball. they should have beat n corofin by 10 points if they had shooting boots on so they give dunmore a good game brown (Galway) - Posts: 64 - 24/06/2009 12:12:58 321644 Link 0 |

this is latest from mulhollands, menlough very short odds at 5/1, they barely bet half a leirirmor team, who are now out to 8/1. Why would St. James must be at 5's. Any other opinons or rankings skittles (Galway) - Posts: 168 - 30/06/2009 22:49:25 328193 Link 0 |
I honestly believe that the intermediate championship is going to throw up a few suprises this weekend. I believe Williamstown can cause the upset of the round by defeating St James, i know they got a hiding in the first round against Oughterard but since then they have dished out a few hidings between league and championship and most recently they played Dunmore in the league and should have won but the game but it ended in a draw. Come Saturday night i think i will have predicted correctly but i do agree with the rest of the predictions and Oughterard will eventually win out the Intermediate Championship, very impressive............ Yes i do agree that there could be a shock result or two this weekend, that's just the nature of championship football. I can't see though where Oughterard were very impressive, they just barely scraped over Dunmore in the last round. I think its too early to call yet,but i would say that the last four, might be Carna for sure,Kilconly, and the other two will come from,James's, Lettermore,Menlough, and Oughterard, and depending on the draw, but i would say maybe a Carna V Kilconly final, but who knows, time will tell. reteoir (Galway) - Posts: 197 - 03/07/2009 13:13:20 331020 Link 0 |
the fact that Oughterard bet Dunmore a team ranked 8/1 to win the IFC with 4-6 of their 1st team absent says alot for Oughterard. mise (Galway) - Posts: 144 - 03/07/2009 15:07:38 331180 Link 0 |
