Minor and U16 championships

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

ye when you say futures not looking good for maynooth youve nothing to back that up like shwetty said 3 on county minors 2 starting and will be there next year again and probably another 2 to come into the minor fold next year with a few extra in my opinion also being given a chance!
Under 16's there are another 2 who are both regular players and very promosing ones at that and well do i need to start about their feile team coasting past everyone to the fina and with a few on the development squads so please does somebody want to explain to me how that isnt promosing?

Schwetty, Just to remind you there is 15 players on a team, not 2 or 3....

Shergar45, Maynooth dropped out of the 16s championship because they couldnt feild a team, no team will win a championship with 10 players

did i say they would win the under 16 championship no! All i said is they hav a few very talented footballers so keep your toys in the pram! Athiabu how many players did athy have on the minor panel! 2 i believe dats 1 less than maynooth if my calculations serve me correct! You have no say!

id fear clane more then maynooth.. athy had 8 players on county minors last year and didnt walk it so what makes ye think maynooth with 3 county players can? get down off your horse your not unbeatable

athy had 3 actually...darroch mullhall, liam mcgovern and cian reynoldes..
kevin feely(outstanding midfielder in this years minor champ) was in training with them aswell sometimes..
and what differnce does players on underage county teams mean..teams like balyna nd na fianna had more players on the county minor team last year but but yet sarsfields hammered them both..
naas are the bookies favourites at the moment.

Lads If your gonna start going on about numbers on county teams Clane are gonna beat ye all. Any word on how the quarter final draw went? Whoever gets Larries and Celbridge will be blessed! Still fancy my chances against maynooth though, they're defo not the team they hype themselves up to be!

Eh, Clanefeen your doing the exact same thing but just hyping up a worse team. Clane haven't a hope of winning it, their squad is not as strong as other teams in this championship had an easy enough route to the quarters.

fancy Maynooth by 4, Balyna by 7, Naas by 5 and moorefield by 5! hopefully resulting in a naas v maynooth final which would eventually see maynooth being crowned minor division 1 championship winners!

Oh a worse team really? Yet clane are one of the only two teams that remain unbeaten?
And an easy route? Moorfield, Balyna and Sardfields are easy teams now? Cop on would you!
Naas tho, Maynooth definatly would have been an easier opponant but sure we have to beat them sometime!

Oh and in reply to 'The squads not strong' comment, we've players like David Gibbons and Dillon Gaffney on the bench? Anyone find it odd the draw went 1v2, 3v4 and so on? Was it live anywhere?

Balyna are shocking. Lucky to get through. sarsfields are out so yes you got an easy route. you drew with moorfield who maynooth beat by 13 points.

no i dont find it odd at all clanfeen wat are ya like!

clanefeen also: Moorefield (a shadow of the team that reached league final)
Balyna (missing crucial defenders such as des holton and cian farrell so not a force this championship)
Sarsfields (theres a reason theyre out at this stage hopeless!)
so dont even try and attempt to suggest u got a tough draw like maynooth you havent had to play the 2 best teams outside of maynooth in athy and naas!
mark my words u wont make it past naas!

the amount of posts from what seems like players from respective teams is a joke lads...ya were all very quiet when it came to this trend earlier in the year or even other trends about the senior and minor county teams for example..everyone no's ur loyal to ur clubs but seriously give it a rest and stop criticsin other clubs. this forum is only a bit of fun at the end of the day..

larries will beat balyna i reckon! they got the more favourable draw this year playing na fainna, leixlip and athy and now balyna. athy are going to be missin at least 6 startin players for the game v maynooth.. i think maynooth are going to stroll to victory to be honest
