from what i have heard it has emerged that the county board chairman did not give athy permission to play darroch mullhall only a lesser member of the board without the authority to do so the player is banned and therefore shud not have played this appeal result will be massive for the championship

Johhnylips - Your club was not happy with the original decision to suspend the playey so you appealed the decision as was your right. Surely they are within their rights to appeal the fact that he played if it looks as if there was a question over his eligability to play. I know that we (Naas) would have done the same and I am sure that if the tables were turned - so would Athy. It will be interesting to see what happens here as if it was a verbal word only given to play Mulhall - it looks dodgy. Why did Cian Reynolds play for your seniors on the previous weekend and Darroch did not. Was it a risk that they were not willing to take?

if maynooth had won there would be no mention of it.. from what i hear its mulhall was only given permission to play after the senior game sometime so the seniors didnt play him because they werent sure if he was allowed.. and thats all im goin to say on the matter

in fairness maynooth have every reason to appeal the ban!any team in the county would!!
as a maynooth person i wouldn wanna win the championship like this but i understand why maynooth have decided to appeal it!!

Realistically what are maynooths chances of winning this appeal? And if they do what will happen, will they replace athy in the semi vs celbridge?

Fro what i have heard s a result of manooth winning the appeal it wud only mean mulhall not being able to play in the semi final and manooth wud not replace them no matter what

athiabu i really doubt that thats what the out come cud be because if that wa the case then maynooth would not have bothered sending one in at all!!! coz it,d still see them being out!!

I agree with, Naas look very strong. Makes sense really; that team was always very dangerous. Dont think any of the teams left, on form shown so far, could handle them. Still, I would be happy if someone proved me wrong
