I have relatives in both Leitrim and Roscommon, so I am very interested both teams. Leitrim has ardent football fans both at home and abroad. There are thousands of Leitrim fans from London to Boston to NY. There are many people that were interested in this match. mikeyjoe (USA) - Posts: 415 - 01/06/2009 04:28:31 298564 Link 0 |

Loads of rivalries go unnoticed by the media. I know about the Ros-Leitrim rivalry. I have a few mates from Mohill and they despise Roscommon. Leinster has lots of rivalries unnoticed...... For me this is the most intense rivalry, I have friends on both sides and they hate each other footballing wise more than any other county. Its really all because of where Carrick is located right on the border. Its way more intense than galway mayo Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2387 - 02/06/2009 16:54:10 299775 Link 0 |
Leitrim coach John Morrisson spent almost the entire 70 minutes chirping at the 4th official. Who does he think he is, Jose Mourinho? As if diving and faking injury weren't bad enough we now have another of soccers ugly customs making it's way into our game. I hope he is reported and punished. Maybe he would have been better off concentrating on the game and making the switches that we were crying out for. He then tried to lay the blame for the defeat on the supporters. Some nerve.
