The question this thread poses is whether or not this is the end of an era for Monaghan. I hope it is. I hope we make a concerted effort to move on to a new style of football that isn't going to earn us the title of dirtiest team in Ireland. Fair play to Banty for moving us forward from where we were 5 years ago but I think the time is right for a fresh approach and try play a bit more football. We have a lot of good players and hopefully some good talent coming through so let's exploit their skills as well as their physicality. Let's face it, if you did a poll I think we would be branded dirtiest team around. That seems to be borne out by the amount of criticism we're getting today by all accounts and yet Derry in my opinion were dirtier and more cynical yesterday. As for joe Brolly - won't even waste my time spelling out what we all already know. I think we should get the heads down, hope for an easy draw (or 2 hopefully) in the back door, make the best of it and try to re-build for next year. Actually, before then we should go to Clones in a few weeks time and try to support our minors into an ulster final. I'll be there and will stay on for the senior game to shout for whoever is playing Derry.
