How do you's see this one going lads,im not at all confident of our chances, our midfield not been performing well and Derry have one of the best in the Business in Doherty and now Derry have another forward to worry about other than the Bradleys so im worried.

I think that Derry are favourites... But this will give Monaghan some motivation to actually play with some passion so I'm hopeful...

With a name like smallballs you've a right to be worried. Only kidding... Fancy Monaghan to win a very tight game. 1pt in it I reckon.

Think It'll be a draw at the end of 70 minutes, and then Derry will win the 10 mins each way extra time as they have more on the bench than Monaghan in the way of scoring forwards, mark Lynch, Seamus Bradley, Mullan Brown etc as well as new face Caolan O Boyle who has been on fire for his club recently.

Also, I think with Lennon off form at the minute Derry has the opportunity to exploit Monaghan at Midfield.

Hard to call would like to think it won't be 3rd time unlucky for us, and with home advantage it could swing in our favour, Can't wait!

Derry missing 2 or 3 at the back,Muldoon and now Lynch. It's going to be tight but I think that in Celtic Park where they are hard to beat derry will ease through by a couple and I don't think it'll go to extra time.I just think they have more direction this year but it's not going to be easy against a confident Monaghan team that has beaten Derry for this past 2 years and rightly believe that they'll do it again. The rot might stop here though.

Like all games in the this province, I expect a match of free flowing, open football devoid of fouls, frees and cards. Anything less than twenty points EACH from both teams would have to be considered a big disappointment. I, especially, hope that it won't turn out to be like your average Leinster Championship game where there is all this fouling, pulling, pushing, shoving, hitting, punching, kicking, tripping, elbowing, kneeing, headbutting and general bad will to opposition players.

I think I'll go for:

Derry 4-26
Monaghan 2-30

In a highly entertaining game of football played in the tradition that all Ulster games are played in.

derry are very hard to beat in celtic park, not too many teams come out of it with a win.they should have extra motivation with monaghan beating them 2 years on the trot so il go for a derry win by 3 points.

What a laugh coming from a Meath supporter. Yis won All Irelands with fouling, pulling, pushing, shoving, hitting, punching, kicking, tripping, elbowing, kneeing, headbutting and general bad will to opposition players...

No calls for changes in the rules to stamp out negative play then.

I think both of these teams could be a handful for anyone in the Championship this year ... whether it's Tyrone, Kerry, Armagh, Galway etc. they face further down the road. That said, both will have to get past their inconsistancy if they are to make real progress at the business end of the championship. I think Monaghan have the potential to surprise Derry but this is a real 50/50 one- up for grabs to whoever wants it more.
