in case there is any doubt, let me remind those concerned that that GAA is a totally separate sporting organisation to UEFA. therefore any fixture that the GAA decides to put forward will not be affected by an comlpetely different sport, being played by professional players in another country.
As far as i am aware the NBA play offs are also on at present, i don't think anyone is going to criticise the GAA for putting on fixtures that clash with the basketball showdown.
i think a dose of reality is required. finally, i remember a few years ago, there was a round of fixtures when liverpool played AC Milan, i didn't hear anyone complaining on that occasion.

I think the fixtures committee in Monaghan have more to worry about than putting a few Man United supporters noses out of joint ! You'd think UAFA would have been more considerate than to put their game on, on the same night as GAA fixtures ! If ya's read the main page an actually check the fixtures before ya's post rubbish on here you will see that only a round of games in the Intermediate league are being played next wednesday night. I would imagine the reason behind this was because of the first round of the championship in senior and junior next weekend so the games were brought forward. So its just the unfortunate intermediate players who miss out on the final.

I am a massive soccer supporter and on many occassions put soccer before Gaa but to be honest the two teams in the Champions League final will not pull me away from any Gaa game on at the same time. Only one's wanting to watch it will be Man U fans anyway and they only crawl out when they are winning and will hide again
