Wexford must love all this talk about Kildare! No pressure will be on them. Kildare are nicely set up for a big fall....

Cant see anyone stopping dublin in Leinster, maybe their own complacency but gilroy will do all to prevent this.Kildare are maybe the only hope, definitely not Meath whose supporters,if not the players are, living on past glories.Ya may forget about the rest. They could all be fastracked to the tommy cooper cup,if it still exists.

loyal, i dont know how u can say meath have better players than kildare, ye dont, there is not too many of the meath players i would be mad to get the only meath player i would like to have is stephen bray and we have consistently beaten ye at u21 level over the past few years. who are these real good meath players?

Hard to tell after an indifferent League. As much as I'd love to see the Dubs get 5 leinsters in a row they really need to do things the hard way in order to have a crack at Sam. By that I'm saying they need to go through the back door and get some tough games under their belts.

Paddy O'Rourke, Seamus Kenny and Nigel Crawford have been playing excellent stuff this season. Hopefully they carry it through to the Championship. Bray has been average at best in the League and apparantly hasn't been playing too well with the club either. Cian Ward seems to have an extra yard of pace to him this year, Brian Farrell, fully fit, is very good too. I agree we probably don't have any stand out individuals but we have a nice enough team, plenty of competition for places. Meath will be hard to beat this year. I'm hopeful, even quietly confident, we will beat Dublin anyway.

Not sure if anybody can. Kildare were decent the other day but no more than that. Still a fair way to go to challenge. The Dublin forwards will have a field day against the Meath defence and will win by 4 or 5

The Dublin forwards will have a field day against the Meath defence and will win by 4 or 5 Well now I'm not so sure. Lets say the Meath backs are: McGill, Reilly, Harrington; Kenny, Moyles, McInerney; like you then have lads like Mickey Burke, Caomhin King, Cormac McGuiness, Niall McKeigue, Juicy O'Conner all pushing for places. Fairly healthy competition for a first team spot there and the one thing about Meath's League campaign was that they were very tenacious at the back. All teams had to work hard to get their scores. In McGill and Harro, you have two fairly able corner backs, neither a superstar yet (and maybe they never will be) but both very capable of marking a Brogan for example. Kevin Reilly, I've always said - as have most Meath supporters - that his best position is full-back. He's far from the best in the country and he's prone to the odd spectacular blunder but he'll do for us. I could talk at length about Seamus Kenny, every team would love to have him. McInerney is a good wing half back to have too. Moyles is possibly the only suspect player in that back six. I suppose I could go on and on but you'd have to agree that the Meath backs have got better in the last two years. They're probably not the best back six out there but neither are Dublins forwards the best.

because jj1 what did meath do in 06??? nothing. went out very earlier. what did they do in the league in 07???. nothing. but ended up bringing dublin to a replay and would have won only for some bad ref decisions which caused and 6 point turn-around which saved dublin. and in 05 we led the match for a long period. from 02-04 we had our worst team since the early 80's but yet brought the fight to dublin again. when was the last time dublin beat us well or as you like to put it had a "field day" against us jj1 in the last 20 years. we could go in with the worst team in ireland and dublin could be all-ireland champions and it would still be a close game. i dont know how many times meath have to beat dublin as underdogs or run them extremely close for people to give them a chance every time they meet. some people just dont have a clue. there wont be more than 3 points in it either way

Kildare won leinster in 1998 and 2000 beating previous all ireland winners along the way that however has no bearing on the 2009 championship. Theres a sayig in football that you are only as good as your last game. You should have a think about that. Dont want to turn this into anti meath argument, because its not, but you really need to wake up to reality

And what is reality for a Meath supporter, JJ1?

Surely, going on the League, Meath are at least as good as Kildare?
