Not his biggest fan but Michael Foley must start as he is our best free taker in the absence of Mulligan.

Take yourself and your post-bag back to whatever hole you slunk from.
Your grand-parents would dis-approve of your wit, spelling and grammar.....

personally i think that Seamus Quinn should start at full forward...he's still got it in the tank...

Team for Sunday:

1. Noel Gill
2. Barry Prior
3. Pat Gilmartin/Adrian O'Flynn
4. Michael McGuinness
5. Dermot Reynolds
6. John McKeon
7. James Glancy
8. Gary McCloskey
9. Shane Canning
10. Philly McGuinness
11. Michael Foley
12. Declan Maxwell
13. Ray Cox
14. Tomás Beirne
15. James Glancy

Doesn't look like our strongest team but i reckon it could be close to what we'll see on Sunday. Reynolds and Prior could swap as well as Gill and Lyons. Don't think S. Foley will get his place which is a big loss, very consistent player and good for a score!
Any thoughts on this i could be way out on this team just going from league and word going round

think about it, not much difference between div 3 & 4 , & sure last year didnt ros loose to galway by something like 23 points while we lost by 3?? can that much change in a year?!?! i dont think so...
all in all i'm startin to feel more positive as the weekend draws nearer! cant wait!

Mouse mat - are you mad - the pair of manor boys would be torn to pieces at full back
And no Foley on the team - if this is case then all m&m are doing is bringing leitrim football days back down to those of P.Mcginninity a few years ago.
Come on be realistic - numbers 1 - 9 will be something very similar to other years

boxtyeater, the name says it all.Its not a spelling contest. When it comes to the spelling,im a bit like homer simpson.nice fella is homer,he has more fingers on either hand than LEITRIM have connacht titles.

If we don't start our best full back line i.e. Mc Keon, Mc Guiness, Reynolds we may as well forget about it. I have very little confidence in our chances without Mulligan but if we go with a different full back line (and word on the street suggests that we will) we will get hammered.

Champions i'm not mad and I hope your right with Canning and Barry McWeeney replacing Duignan and Prior but i think we could be in for a few shocks sunday, its not the team i'd pick, not even close to it, for a start Beirne is no full forward natural mid fielder but i bet he'll start there

does nobody agree that canning at centre forward and tomas b at midfield would solve alot of problems. i have seen beirne at midfield in the league and there is no doubt but he is the best ball winner on the team, canning on the other hand is a very string player well able to carry the ball and can distribute accurately into the likes of ray cox. if it doesnt work change it around a little bit in the formation.

I would doubt that both Reynolds or Mc keon have the pace for the full back line at county level anymore. M&M know this so they'll play them in the half back line. I'm not Prior's biggest fan but as least he has the pace for the corner.

Exactly and put Maxwell in full as usual but i'm nearly certain they will start Beirne on edge of square

smokinjoe, i agree prior is decent in the corners, but why do u doubt mckeon in the full line??!
id like to see prior, mckeon, mc guinness in the full wit reynolds at number 5 / 7 - great playmaker & handy for a scored too

It just means we care rossiefan - If ros supporters had our level of support ye prob would have an all ireland by now - remember minor semi final against meath in 06. only for us shouting that day, the minors would have died a death.
Any way back to sunday - to say that reynolds and mckeon have lost pace is a crazy statement. I reckon than when it comes to playin football at this level pace is crucial but the head always wins out, and both these lads have the head.
