Don't know what game you were at, Dr Phil but the Killan Gaels/ Cavan Gaels game was far from a poor contest. It was an extremely close game with both teams fighting hard for the win. But for a Fantastic Save from the Killan goalkeeper in the final minutes, it might have been a different story. Killan showed the greater hunger in the last 15mins and hats off to them. I'm sure the Gaels were disappointed but the slightly better team won on the day.

regarding the div2 final.

i havnt seen either teams play but i think going from previous experiences against both teams that lavey should be the winner.they have sum good players like duke, tierney and conroy and although drumalee have sum good players too i think lavey with the couple of lads training with a senior team preparing for the intermediate championship should win.

but i honestly wouldnt write of drumalee.

its going to be an interesting final, shame i wont get home to see it.

why did baileborough need to amalgamate when they were fit to win the u16 a couple of years ago on their own, county board again have to look at this, surely if killan win this championship the b borough lads cant but wonder would they have won it on their own which would mean more to them

i'm afraid that it seems that some of the shercock boys are actually carrying a lot of the bailieborough lads so i dont think bailieborough would have got very far on their own. same old story with bailieboro, as soon as the hit minor level they seem to leave the football or the football leaves them!

I Don't think it's fair, Natureboy, to be so dismissive of the Shercock Players on the Killan Gaels team. Its Killan Gaels that made the final, not Bailieboro and from seeing them play, the Shercock Players made just as big a contribution as those from Bailieboro. What happened 2 years ago at u16 is nothing to do with it. An amalgamation is about 2 or 3 clubs playing together. The Shercock and Bailieboro lads have clicked well and thats probably helped make them a good combined team. You seem to be the only one thinking otherwise and i would imagine you are just saying it to cause trouble.

I totally agree with "natureboy.woo". Balieboro should never have been alowed join with shercock. O.k, they had a bad league, but surely evryone makes a biger effort to come back from college for training before the championship right?, League is league and championship is championship, there is a monumental difference. Look at denn in the senior for example. Heres hoping to a ballyhaise double.

shannon gaels look gud for div3 championship saw them play blackwater last week and tey wer the much better footballin team.
blackwater tryed to stop shannon gaels playin football but this only worked in the first half as blackwater went in at the hafe a point up.
shannon gaels came out in the 2nd half and played great football and deserved to win the game .tey shud of won it by more only for the
ref to give a soft penilty away at the end! the 2 county minors stud out well for the boys from the west.pp o hara and jason mc Loughn.

Have to agree with Dr.Phil there. Young Monaghan had a brilliant game, constantly looking for the ball, and scored a superb goal. Defiently one for the future. Also the mid-fielder, doofy i think they were calling him, caught some ball at mid field, must have been glue on his hands. Duke was poor going by his high standards. Can see them winnig this division. With Smith, Lynch, Duke, Doofy, Conroy Tierney up the middle and players like Monaghan and the two Smiths for support.
