Ah yeah, 2009 rolls around quickly. I managed 4th place last year so this year I'm going for the outright win!!! (Cue RMDrive getting every single prediction wrong!).

Heres some ante post odds lads. Making TC the favourite. Sounds like he knows a thing or two. Liam Hayes was the ONLY man to tip Tyrone last year and look at the ridicule he got.

Tipping is a mug's game.

I will be further up the table this year. tried to be to clever and nominated a good few draws going for the big points score. In my defence a good few of these games ended with a one point victory for one of the teams, so wasnt to far away. will play it safe this year and just pick someone to win and settle for the less points.

Is there any chance of including the league games in the competition for 2009?

Leitrim Lad - As I understand it there may be some other comp for the league and far be it from me to stand on the toes of our gracious hosts! The League would be good crack for a Tipster no doubt and I would have no difficulty running one. It would be impossible to include all games (too voluminous) - but the top two games from each Div would be good and give 8 predictions a week. Up to HS though - maybe the Admin can give a sign? Thumbs up or otherwise??

I think a league tipster competition would be a great idea, with JC at the helm of course. Hopefully Lynn will be ok with this and so why don't people post asking Lynn to let this go ahead?

Story bud - eh can I have a go too. Stick us down for a Dubs win each week in the league in anyway Jayo - nuthin much in Div 1 this year. I might be able to come up with a prize or two - some kosher gear if ye get me meaning. Best of stuff and ye couldn't tell the diffrince. Lemme no and say no more. A nod is as gud as a wink to a blind horse if u know what I'm saying.l

I'd be up for the tipster this year, not signed up early enough last year but I'm all set now!

A tip for you all next year, there is no value in nominating a draw. It just dosen't makes sense. You only get twice as many points for nominating a draw as you do for nominating a win. You would want to be getting 7 or 8 times the value a win gets you for a draw before I would even entertain the idea. The only reason I went for a few draws near the end last year was because it was mathematically the only way I could win.

Hey you - Loyal - stop moaning :-)

Actually if I was doing the comp the year before I should've given 20 points to Meath for getting a draw against the Dubs!!! Seriously all suggestions will be considered - assuming we get to run this baby again - so suggestions welcome.
