Yeah in fairness people, JayoC is doing us all a favour here by organising this so lets not make it any harder on him than necessary. RMDrive (Donegal) - Posts: 2202 - 30/05/2008 11:27:53 25994 Link 0 |
its a joke two minutes can send the email. there must be some people taking it very seriously leaving it till the last minute incase there are injuries, withdrawals etc. get them in and quit *$%£*$! aronud. samin10 (Armagh) - Posts: 2434 - 30/05/2008 11:32:47 26005 Link 0 |
Whoa lads - easy - but thanks for the support! In fairness closing time doesn't happen till 1.00pm so I have no prob with getting predictions up to that - earlier would make it handier for me - but 1.00 is largely fine. The main prob is chasing a couple of people up who I haven't heard from but are active here. I could be hardline and say sod off but I don't want to do that. BUt if they'd just let me know where they stand I'd appreciate that! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 30/05/2008 11:39:53 26011 Link 0 |
Right all - predictions for Week 4 (matches 11-13) now below (current score after your name). 54 players playing this week, with no emails from 5 players. As I haven't heard from Snufalufagus or Fidel Custard for 3 weeks their names have been removed from the competition leaving 57 players. It has been pointed out to me from an irate Legend92 that he had picked Donegal and not Derry and a quick check of my vast database (not that one was needed in this case) confirms this to be the case. So in case any of you thought he was trying to impress Niamh it wasn't the case and I just got it wrong. Apologies to his family and next of kin for the slight! It pays to check! Firstly, congrats to Freddy15 - who holds the lead alone on 22 points - only one wrong prediction from 12 games - well done Sir! Also a mention to Jim from Wexford - the only other player who got 6 outta 6 this weekend! 5 more players on 20 and a stack on 18! just lookin through this.. mayb u's should contact rte or the sunday world as people on here are better at predicting games than spillane or any of the experts! good goin lads speedy12 (Fermanagh) - Posts: 592 - 02/06/2008 13:53:06 26880 Link 0 |
Well NSG - may be more than a grain of truth to that! Advise all players to check scores as 7 pints of Bulmers can play havoc with spreadsheets and maths! One slight mistake - I said Freddy15 only had one wrong from 12 games - but there were 13 games so far - so its 2 wrong - still excellent predicting though, well done! Right boys and girls! Just under an hour left before the steel doors slam shut on Week 5! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 06/06/2008 12:04:01 29133 Link 0 |
With none of our current top 10 scorers in action this weekend it sets the stage for a few new entries to the list. Alot of big guns in action - Tyrone, Dublin & Kerry as well as some good scorers from smaller counties such as McNamee (Offaly), Dolan (Westmeath), Glennon (Westmeath), Mangan (Westmeath), Lennon (Louth), Hoey (Louth) & Coulter (Down). Anybody any tips for others? Leitrim Lad (Leitrim) - Posts: 264 - 06/06/2008 12:37:15 29159 Link 0 |

Right lads - we have a predominant Westmeath, Tyrone, Dublin selection this week. 3 brave souls went for Louth - all the best lads - not really! A limited few for Down and some for Offaly. Let the games begin! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 07/06/2008 02:38:37 29499 Link 0 |
Just to let ye know I am on the road this evening so the update will probably not appear til some time tomorrow evening - don't fret! JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 08/06/2008 12:23:54 29620 Link 0 |
Well boys and girls we finally got our first draw thanks to some astute substitutions by Ross Carr and four of our canny tipsters foresaw this - plus the other two results to bag themselves 8 points this week! Well done to Bald Eagle, Fr Tierney (divine inspiration ??), Tir Chonaill Abu and to GMG who joins Freddy15 at the top on 26 points! Commiserations to Jakestevens81 who zilched out. As Larry Gogan would say - they just didn't suit ya! The other two zero scores did not send me anything this week. JayoCluxton (Dublin) - Posts: 2688 - 09/06/2008 14:38:23 30062 Link 0 |
