sorry i forgot kakas opinion was the defining opinion. why did he go to milan in the first place if he loves england so much. mcgeady said he wanted to go and play for bayern munich and not in england.

No i dont think that purely because some1 was spanish that they would settle faster. Thats rediculous. Beckham played as well as any other madrid player in his time there. The very fact that you say he was rubbish at all underlines what is really going on here.

you and i both know kluivert was past it hence he went to newcastle in the first place. he wouldnt have been let go if he was any good at the time.

beckham made no impression in his years at madrid until near the end except scoring a few free kicks. the fact is for most of his time in spain he couldnt hack it and just because he had a good run of form means nothing. i never said that spanish players settle quicker in england than the english do in spain. any spanish player with quality will impress in england within 3 years. it would be hard not to come good within 3 seasons if you are a top player. also you obviously have a lot more examples of english players going to spain than i do of spanish going to england as spain has normally been the top league. so the fail rate of english players in spain is big
