This just proves that hurling will always come second best in Westmeath. Some things never change.

i think the county boards disrespect towards bridgets is going to back fire on them big time. bridgets will be twice as motivated to win final now.

dec obviously my sarcasm was wasted on you....

I hope for the players sake after training all year that they get into Cusack Park for the final. Think it will be a Wood Brigids final and a very close match, they drew in group stages but Wood's senior experience should stand to them

Who is it that fixes the games?

I don't think St Brigids can be complaining too much. They had already wormed their way out of playing Clonkill early in the season - remember that? There are football games this weekend involving players from Brigids.

the final is on Sunday, time to get off the fence and put down some predictions people!!

Myself I think that even though Turin beat Brigids easily in the champ already I think Brigids will sneak it, dont think they will be beaten in the final 2 years in a row.

Brigids by 2.

Anybody else care to put their predictions down??

you'd have to fancy Brigids after being in the final last year, experience in Cusack park is important. they were also missing a few lads when they played Turin and had already qualified for the semi finals.

I think Turin will win by a couple of points..they have timed their run well this year to peak at the perfect time and I cant see them being beaten..I would agree that the last game between the teams is irrelavent, it will be much closer on sunday and should be a good final

The Turin backs just couldn't live with Bridgid's running at them and they didn't get enough ball into Alan Aughey and Hourihan as both showed how dangerous they can be when they got the ball

how many players would not have togged for Brigids if they were still in the football???

was a good game, would be better for hurling in the county if Turin won as that is all they play out there.
