272691 I am going to see Roy "Chubby" Brown in the summer.

Are you seriously going to see that racist?

I get the Bill Hicks thing to a certain degree but really he shouldn't be in the "comedy" sector. He ultimately brings out anger in people. I like satire and "alternative" comedy but ultimately comedy should be about making people laugh and not angry.

I mean he called on all Marketing people to commit suicide. While they may not be our favourite people it's still a disgusting thing to say. If you find that funny then you are in a dark place. Likewise if you like Roy 'racist' Brown then you are in a sad lonely place.

Comedy is about laughing and enjoying yourself and does not have to belittle people. If that's how you get your kicks...

RLF, takes all sorts I suppose but I think a lot of Irish people have a pretty dark sense of humour. As for Hick's marketing remark, maybe a bit OTT for some but a lot of comedy makes use of exaggeration and even more is based on taking the mick out of someone or some group, maybe even some comedians you like do that on occasion?

I do like some of his stuff but overall I find him too heavy and self-involved. David Mc savage would be one of my favourite Irish as well as Karl Spain, Ed Byrne not too bad either on ocassion. Others like J Byrne and Deirdre O' Kane are not funny at all. I turned off if they are on TV. Outside of Ireland there are tonnes but all the black adder stuff, Richard prior too. I've no doubt that these guys offend others but it's just my preference.

Tommy Cooper "I went to the doctor last week, said Doctor I think I've broken my arm in two places". Doctor said "Well you shouldn't go to those places" HA HA HA!
Les Dawson was brilliant. "I get on fine with the mother in law. We've had her around to our house for Christmas every year for the last 10 years. This year we are even thinking of letting her in". HA HA HA!
Les Dawson. "Mother in law went to the doctor last week, he told her she was overweight. She said I want a second opinion. He said you're ugly as well" HA HA HA!
