Why is it always Junior clubs who get entangled in pointless debates.??

The thing is its always North Mayo Junior clubs who are in these debates! Ya'd swear Ballycastle,Lahardane,Kilfian were world-beater the way they go on! You dont see many of these childish arguments from the West or South! And even the east are usually grand except from the odd Ballyhaunis/Aghamore slagging matches!!

Just remember that when the old county championship format existed there were 5 teams in West, 6-7 in East and 6-7 in South Mayo contesting their respective divisional championships to get a craic at the county semi finals while in North Mayo you had 16/17 junior teams so I believe that North clubs get involved in these debates as its aways been a fight here in the North. As for worldbeaters Kilfian have shown great promise early on by winning two cups, Lahardane will always be there or there abouts for the county championship and its great to see this from small rural clubs. Ballycastle another rural club I believe have 3 senior titles to their name and more importantly a man on the team of the millenium, theres only one other Mayo man on this team. So please don't be knocking these rural clubs as they are doing trojan work by surviving let alone winning things. Lahardane for the county!!!

I agree with peile.Ballycastle have had great sucess down through the years like many small north mayo clubs but you dont have to look that far back talking about Tom Langan and winning senior county titles they have won alot since then and they have had many county players since Tom Langan even though I dont hear them say to much about their last county player in 1996

congrats to moy davitts on getting to the next round,kilfian blew it again to their local rivals B team killala,still they won a bit of sliver wear already so its not 2 bad a season, but many though that they would at least get out of the group stages considering they were playing all but 1 B teams,

dont write off ballycastle. fit young team, couple of lads played very high level football over da years, best junior gaeltacht team in mayo, top manager nd with all da youth in da squad, the current crop of players have played underage and U-21 together for years. might not win, but tip dem 2 do well.
