217393 Strachen? Far better record than the last manager, but alas a different faith and has never been accepted by the FOOTBALL fans at Parkhead.

Not a great manager in a bad league .

Speaking of soccer, Inter Milan short BOTH centre backs which was not mentioned.

What was mentioned was that United MIGHT be short, but ended up with three centre halves.

I love the media.

WGS's faith has nothing to do with why some sections of the Celtic support don't like him. Lads I've spoken to say it's because he's not Celtic minded in that he didn't support the club as a youngster and that he's not a weedgie. Also, as much as some people love the way he riles the press with his snappy retorts there are others who don't like that attitude.

Sure there have been some people connected to the club who haven't hailed from Glasgow, haven't been Roman Catholic and have been hero worshipped - a fine example of this would be the Magnificent 7 himself, Henrik Larsson - but his quiet demeanour and endeavours on the pitch transcend this backwards mentality which you seem to keen to tar all of the Celtic supporters with.

What religion he follows is irrelevant and I'm not at all surprised that you chose to bring it up.

Fingers crossed for the 4-in-a-row.

Slash, a horse runs tomorrow at Navan called Liss Na Tintri from a stable who you know quite a bit about. i.e. Kiely. I've heard she is meant to be pretty out of the ordinary, do you have any opinion yourself on her?

Strangely enough I didn't bring Strachen's faith up, as I have no interest in Scottish football clubs, apart from the one with the Irish connection called Hibernian, but even then not much.

It was my workmates, all 400 of the Celtic supporting ones, who brought up his faith. Not "Celtic minded" is a euphemism for not "being of the true faith".

Sad I know, but true.

3/1 or so will be the price. I seen the forecast price but its nonsense, will be a lot shorter. When she was entered to run before, she was 4/1 I think and that race included Glenlo Abbey and another well fancied horse. She was subsequently declared a non runner.

Anyway, Slash, your fans await. Do not disappoint.

Loyal odds are 11/8 with Paddy power hardly worth it at that

Loyal, the word is that this horse was never better and should win. The price is not great so it might be better to wait till race time as it might drift a wee bit.

It is by no means the best horse in this stable so dont lump on !! The reason it did not run the last day was not down to injury, ok. Good punting !!

P.S. Have a small e/w bet on Rathrockscourt in the 3.15 it is 25/1. Wee squeak for it but dont know much about it !!

I see the young Hamilton and Ireland player James McCarthy once again suffered 90 mins of naked sectarian hatred from Glasgow Rangers fans today. For the entire match they abused and ridiculed him and mocked the Irish Famine. When is the Irish government going to get serious and take this to UEFA AND demand that this club be banned from ALL competitions? They have already been reported to the SFA this season for their bigoted singing but no one appears to have the backbone to really do anything serious about Rangers fans.
