Loyal, or anyone else with a view,

I see the weights for the National are out.

Anything standing out for you?

I took a nibble at L'Ami - formerly classy and being aimed at the race. Being trained by Enda Bolder now too so id reckon he should be well schooled. currently weighted at 10-3 which is where you wan to be for a National - especially if exotic dancer doesnt go and everything moves up in the weights. 94/1 on betfair....

do not back my horses today lads. In my view Silver Birch is a good E/w bet. Lami has run this race a few times too old now thats why hes so big in the market

re; L'Ami

nah - he's 9 - the optimum age for a national horse.

i reckon the odds are so big cos hes done f all for a long time....

be interesting if his price starts tumbling though, given JP McM owns him.

Only had a glance but I suspect the weights will go up about 8lbs or 10lbs. Anything above Chelsea Harbour would appear doubtful to me. The only one above him who may run is Cloudy Lane but I don't think he will. Couldn't win it last year when he was well in, so can't see how he'll do it now. And he's not a horse designed for carrying big weights. Don't know how Butlers Cabin has got 10 5, at this stage I was sure it would be around 9st he'd be on. Think the handicapper has ruined his chance. Haven't a clue who will win at this stage though but come the day I'm sure there will be a few thrown in at the weights.

Just in from work i have to put up Colnel Sherman for todays NAP very unlucky last time out beaten by CanCan Star who went on to win impressively again. And an outside bet has to be Magic Kehasyi who was stayin on last week after been a year off the track and his shrewd trainer has him out quick enough again. So id be suggesting a win and each-way.YEEEE HAAAA

Lads any opinions on tonight's match against Georgia? What would your ideal starying Irish 11 be if you had no injuries, suspensions or sulking Cork players to contend with?

1. Given
2. Finnan
3. Kilbane
4. Dunne (c)
5. O'Shea
6. S. Reid
7. Ireland
8. McGeady/S.Hunt
9. Doyle
10. Keane
11. Duff

Another fine 3-0 win for our lads tonight.

Meanwhile our neighbours scrape home(?) with a dodgy penalty, the foul was on the half way line, and a scrappy goal when a player falls over and the ball bounces off him into the net.

Such is sport.

I still believe that come national day Willie Mullins will have something trained to perfection.A lot has been said about Snowy Morning losing his spark and doing bad but i still think he will be there or there abouts.Willie also has Irish Invader in who shouldn't be overlooked.
I was given a bit of advice before the 2005 national but i didnt heed it:
'never rule a Willie Mullins horse out over 3m5f'
Hedgehunter romped home.
For me..Snowy's the the one!
