Mid Mon man. Calzaghe was fighting years ago, that's the whole point.

And by the way Samin,. I believe Reid was robbed against Calzaghe. As for Ottke, that was propaganda by the UK media.

I know he was fighting years ago patrique, but the point I'm making is that by the time he got to a stage that he would be fighting in headline fights, against the top competitors, a few of them had faded away. That's what I mean by him being born earlier, I would have loved to see him fight Collins, Eubank, etc. in their prime. Also would have been nice to see him fight Hopkins and Jones jr when they were younger as you said, but samin10 explained why he didn't, in Jones jrs case, once Calzaghe was established as a big middleweight boxer(after beating Eubank), Jones jr had already moved up to light heavyweight.

Eh you do realise this forum is here for GAA purposes and not for predictions on who'd win a political catfight?

I think Calzaghe didn't fight anyone because he was managed by Warren and no-one in the US of A had heard of him until the Hopkins fight.

think brian Cowen would pack the better punch myself.
a bit of an unfair fight, Cowen the next Mike Tyson or a Brian Mcguigan wannabe in Wille O Dea.
my money is on Coweny

Patrique

Warren managed him for the Hopkins fight when it eventually happened. Hopkins had his chance years earlier to fight him and pulled the plug.
