NSG- If Bush is so concerned about world peace and swares Americas oil interest is not the reason for the "war on terror" then why isnt he in Zimbabwe now?
Cos he has no election to worry about and there is no oil in Zimbabwe!
The war on terror...America are the worlds biggest terrorist state and that man is worse than any dictator.
Mary O'Rourke has the right idea!

Calling Farney, Jake Stevens, Mid Mon Man or any other of our lovely Monaghan people - bit of info required.

Was thinking of heading to Monaghan at the weekend. I hear Clontibret is a nice place. Do yis know anywhere me and a few lads could stay? It will be mostly recreational but we all like a bit of archaeology and may do some light digging. Is there anywhere we could park a few JCBs and mechanical diggers? Also is there a hire service locally where we might get a few heavy duty drills - that go down a few hundred feet?

Any info welcome :-)

Well JC, yas had better be on your bikes, there'd be a gold rush the likes not seen since the days of the wild west! Plenty of nearby fields to park that heavy machinery. Happen to be from near the area myself, funnily enough since clontibret happens to be in the middle of monaghan! No hotels nearby unless you want to go to castleblayney, although the locals are kind souls and may put yous up if you give them a percentage of your cut! The site is near the clontibret pitch if you want to go have a kick about with the county champions. Other places of interest when you're down this neck of the woods include the newly-opened clontibret-castleblayney bypass, and the battle of clontibret site. ;-)

Enjoy!

Anybody watch the tennis last night? Thought it was an awesome contest.

Not a big fan of tennis myself but I was enthralled by the quality and sheer competitiveness of the final.

Fair play to Nadal - 22 and will get even better.

The tennis was superb. 2 greats or the game at the peak of their powers battling it out in an epic encounter. Roll on the Connacht final

The Cyprus potatoes are superb, though many dismiss them as being "too wathury!!".

I disagree, however, as they make a first class mash.
