If drinking should be banned surely games sponsered by drinks companies should not be allowed there - such as the Hei..... Cup!!!

Brian O'Driscoll should be banned from drinking powerade in croker, count the sips when he's being interviewed on telly (brilliant piece of sponsorship)

Yes wexford man drink companys should be banned as well because the gaa about 10 years ago would not let them on club jerseys.

i don't know about ye but drinking alcohol is a pain in the ass in croke park.
leanrt the hard way, bursting for a slash while the game goes on.
plenty of time for the pints before and after the game but as far as banning it, that going to far.
if people want to live like muslims, the go off to a muslim country

Dellboy, your better off not drinking begore a game.
i usually have a few before a match and then stay off it until after the game.
once i did get drunk before a kerry cork semi final. locked going into the game, had a pint at half time too. head was spinning looking down from the top tier in the cusack stand. never again shall i do so!
pints will wait until i get to mcgraths after the game.

my point is it should be let up to the people to drink or not. if people want to drink then drink and if not then don't.
there should be no law telling us that we can't drink. as i said before we are not a muslim country and people should be able to make up their own minds

Fully agree Dell, No drinking or smoking in Croke Park. You enjoy the game better anyway and there is plenty of time for drink later !! Have sat beside lads who clearly had too much to drink beforehand and they are a nuisance as they constantly leave their seat to go to the toilet and you have to stand up to let them pass and your enjoyment of the game is interrupted !!

i don't think drinking is that much of an inconvience during games to be honest. 99.9% of people will sit down and watch the game right through. there will always be a few nuisances.

dellboy smoking harms other people's health, drink harms the drinker only, well unless the drinker gets beer muscles.

I for one think that rules and laws should be kept to a minimum.
if anyhting that needs to be banned in croker its large flags which restrict peoples viewing

Woops your are making good points but i will give you a point . Now i used to work at the doors i would not let someone in that i thought they had to much drink and croke park do not that so everyone is at risk health and safety wise .

Yes Dellboy you have a valid point too. but my overall thought is that Ireland is going too far in saying you can't do this you can't do that. i all for health and safety at GAA matches but I don't think we will ever really have a problem like soccer yobs. of course here will be a few incidents at times
I never really seenany hassle from drunks in croker.
More so from sober loud ignorant men!!
anyway i think we will agree to disagree on this matter dellboy!
