If they done that they'd lose there sponsorship with Guinness which brings in a fair bit of dosh to the GAA Duffy89 (Wexford) - Posts: 3320 - 15/04/2009 21:37:25 258288 Link 0 |
Duffy should not be always about money and other sponsors would fill that gap anyway . Croke park is for family friendly and no drink should be allowed to be sold . Dellboypolecat (Tyrone) - Posts: 15069 - 15/04/2009 21:40:09 258291 Link 0 |
they should ban it when the dubs are playin, us culchies can handle it. Horse (Laois) - Posts: 1146 - 15/04/2009 22:08:11 258328 Link 0 |
It should also be friendly for over 18s who enjoy a drink and can hold their drink. Most people watch football matches in the bar with a couple of beers whats the big deal? Niamh (Derry) - Posts: 2397 - 15/04/2009 22:09:08 258330 Link 0 |

Can a man not go without a drink for the lenght of a football/hurling match? it was only in the last couple of years when the drink was brought to the mainstream fans in croker......how did we ever manage since 1884?? irishstew (Sligo) - Posts: 172 - 15/04/2009 22:31:35 258378 Link 0 |
Duffy ESB , ulster bank and recenlty bank of ireland sponsers few trophys between underage and senior and i feel children at games and someone drinking beside them is not good and drink alos causes trouble at some games. Dellboypolecat (Tyrone) - Posts: 15069 - 15/04/2009 22:35:36 258382 Link 0 |
well there's yet to be trouble at games and in fairness to the boys in blue on the Hill ye never hear of violence related to drink,ye'd always see boyos runnin onto the pitch naked due to being intoxicated and in fairness,if they ban selling drinks in Croker what difference does it make when you have the pubs all around Croker. alot of supporters enjoy a pint and behave respectively but there's always exceptions to every rule, the majority are well behaved and as long as its kept away from the kiddies i've no problem with it, why let a few louts ruin it for everybody else? Please god this will never happen, but I do believe that Meath fans should not be sold Cups of tea or coffee under any circumstances. PJ (None) - Posts: 2288 - 15/04/2009 23:09:50 258442 Link 0 |

The point am making if it was banned in gaa grounds it would show a good example with underage drinkers and i do not like the way some fans go on when there drunk . Dellboypolecat (Tyrone) - Posts: 15069 - 15/04/2009 23:21:31 258465 Link 0 |
