Only one league. Ballycran have no 3rds team and Bredagh have no 2nds.

Numbers playing hurling continue to fall every year.

Once again Bgael you have no idea whats going on in your own club. Are you even involved with Bredagh?

I think Bredagh play a seconds team in Down and firsts play in Antrim?

Any word of the league fixtures yet? Surely they'll not start it on Easter Monday at this late stage when people are on holidays......

Fixtures hopefully out end of this week or start of next week, county board still working on them. Not sure if that's Clonduffs first or possibly a seconds team playing in Armagh this year

Are the rumours true that ballela are not fielding a team this year??? That would be a real shame if it was true......

Really sad to see Ballela fold.

Pity Bredagh can't field 2 teams.

It's all going the wrong way.

No surprises with all the lack of promotion of the game by some of the 'dual' clubs and county board with the uncertainty over teams and all, the football fixtures were sorted out well over a month ago. Ballela have been decimated by emigration, and although every club is losing players to overseas, a club with a parish the size of Ballela, Liatroim or Kilclief are really gonna struggle. Liatroim, Castlewellan, Warrenpoint and Shamrocks can all field two football teams however!

Bredagh are 100% fielding a second team in Down, with their Seniors playing in Antrim.

And that came from a cgood source.

In terms of fixtures, the Antrim League fixtures have been out for a few months now. In terms of organisation they are light years ahead of Down.

Even the Antrim championship was drawn about a month ago! Very much on the ball so they are. Fair play to Bredagh for fielding a second squad, I'm near sure that's what Clonduff are doing too, firsts in Down, seconds in Armagh

County Board meeting last week said Bredagh can only field one team.
