on the other hand carryduff won the minor championship in a very open final so where is the comparison
carryduff were and currently are the best minor team in the county till this years minor final

i know they played 2 games and then stopped playing, someone on here said it was the exam period for low numbers, now with exams drawing to a close lets see what happens in the future

Went to BALLELA V NEWRY last night, have to say shame on you Newry, Ballela only had 13 players but Newry played 15 and would not play 13. Ballela did get other player for second half and out scored Newry big time in the second half. I think final score was NEWRY 6-11 BALLELA 1-22

Can understand why newry would do this, they are second in this division i think and why wouldnt they take any advantage available?!
Think we did it on them a few yrs back when we were top of divison 1 and they were third, its not the team with 15s fault that the other team have less players!!

Its really up to the club that can field what way they wanna work it, if Ballela are at home and only have 13 men then Shamrocks cant be criticised for having 13 or 15 on their side

Yeah, you're right, we did line out the 15 and shouldn't have. It would have been a cricket score anyway and as much as it wasn't our fault, in the interests of being sporting it shouldn't have happened.

My sources in Ballygalget can possibly confirm that Newry turned up to them last year with 14 and Ballygalget played 14, so maybe Newry could have seen a precedent from Ballygalget and reciprocated Ballela but I wouldn't be beating them up too much about it.

Maybe we need a county by-law on this that you should match your opponents numbers, possibly to 13 players if necessary as this will become all to common the more people emigrate for work and the likes.

Also, The point slipped up last night, should have played the fog card, rather than not fielding!!
