Shamrocks have lost some of their best players and struggle for numbers. They're not the side they were.

Down Div 2 would be ideal for the type of team your talkin about. Its full of similar sides.

You'd be better starting a team off in Down Div2 rather than the lower leagues in Antrim, especially if they're youngish as there's very little dirt in the Down leagues compared to what you'd get in the lower tier stuff in Antrim. Don't know much about the Armagh leagues.

Division 2 in Down is a good competitive league as well, anyone can beat anyone, I'm sure there would be consideration for yous since Galgets and Ports 3rds finished up and more clubs entering senior hurling in the coming years like Mourne, St Pauls and Downpatrick. With Armagh you've less hurling clubs, meaning less games, and most Down clubs would be willing to give ya a challenge match often enough too

Thanks lads, seems like i was correct in my thinking, Down hurling people have always been good people and proud hurling communities, hopefully between my club and our counties we can work something out.

ACHL Div 1:
Liatroim V Ballycran by 1. Crans should have enough to get past a tricky Liatroim side.
Warrenpoint V Ballygalget by 8. Point dont have much now the Teagues and Cunningham are away.
Castlewellan V Portaferry by 10. The town are struggling.
Kilclief BYE

ACHL Div 2:
Ballycran V Ballela by a couple. Purely because Ballela are struggling with numbers.
Carryduff V Shamrocks Tight one to call here. Early big loss for the Duff but i think the Shamrocks should have too much firepower.
Clonduff V Ballyvarley by 5. Ballyvarley on a poor run and Clonduff had a decent win against Bredagh IIs
Bredagh BYE

ACHL Div 1:
Liatroim V Ballycran- Crans by 3, though this will go right to the wire, Liatroim have done well considering amount of players away, though Crans should just win
Warrenpoint V Ballygalget- Draw, Warrenpoint are strong at home but I think this one is close to call
Castlewellan V Portaferry- Ports by 7, they might take their foot off the gas slightly with such a strong lead in the league, the Town will have one eye on the cship
Kilclief BYE

ACHL Div 2:
Ballycran V Ballela- Ballela by 3, they'll want to push on at the top of the table, but this will be tight
Carryduff V Shamrocks- Shamrocks by 1, though they've only played 3 games so who knows if this game is going ahead!
Clonduff V Ballyvarley- Clonduff by 5, Ballyvarley have too many injuries and its affected form badly, Clonduff are pushing for promotion
Bredagh BYE

Good win for Clonduff and you have to fancy them for promotion after they beat Ballyvarley and Ballela gettin beat too. That was a great win for Liatroim considering the heavy defeat the Crans gave them at McKenna earlier in the season, they've been the best south Down team easily this season. Portaferry have been very impressive with their young fit side, Castlewellan have had so much injuries and fellas away, they're not the team they were last year, Ballyglaget V Warrenpoint was a tight enough encounter as well

how can they not be good enough as they are only getting beat by small margins part from ballycran when they had no div 1 game winning and losing is a matter of inches and all that..........

i think they are a championship team, we'll see in about 2-3 weeks when the jnr champ starts
