Up the Duff

I was at the match the other day. Yes there was a bitter wind but Carryduff were so, so very impressive. Ones to look out for this coming year :)

Unlucky for carryduff to be playin the only ards team while the seconds have a bye..I'd expect a tanking

fair play to the crans putting a thirds team in this year. with antrim league on a sunday and down league the next day i doubt it would be easy fielding four adult teams in two days regardless of what level they are playing at.
on the upside for the south down boys it only means travelling to the ards once a season instead of three times (few less tanking in some cases)

doubt div 1 is going to be much different than it has been for the last 4 or 5 years. think div 2 will be the most interesting due to the lack of ards teams and introduction of newry and ballela which should mix things up a bit.

anybody any more knowledge on the championship setup for the year ahead. as usual its a complete shambles of a setup and by the looks of things there will be no intermediate entry into ulster the year

went out to the BALLELA V CLONDUFF match to night!!!! have to eat my words thot clonduff would have beat them of the field after there win over shamrocks last week but how wrong i was. Ballela just sweep clonduff of the pitch 1st half much more skilful and much stronger in the 50/50 balls think they were winning by 8/10pts at half time, with jonathan mc cusker head and shoulders over everyone on the field some show from him was told that was his 1st match in 2 years as he is away working and home 4 easter, tell you down could be doing with him back again. but second half much closer clonduff got a goal and point in the last minute of game to put a better look on the score board. have to say the ref was ??????? enough said about that were do they get them.

Good match last night in Castlewellan and all those who reckoned the town would be out of there depht in Div 1 will have to think again. The point won 0-14 to 0-12 in a good hard, clean game that could have gone anyway & with 2 21 yard frees stopped on the line in injury time we nearly won it. Disappointed to lose but a great performance from a young team that didnt even get warmed up cause of a mix up over the throw in time. Have to say as well the ref had a good game.

Ballela 2-10 2-8 Clonduff was the score. Yes heard Castlewellan should have won despite missing a few players, they missed a crazy amount of wides in the second half to put the game to bed, Warrenpoints full back line saved the match for them towards the end with brilliant stops after Castlewellans forward men were seeking a goal. Ballygalget had a great win to get up and running, Kilclief also like Castlewellan missed the chance to get the points on board, Liatroim unlucky to lose away to Portaferry, and in Div 2, Ballela and Clonduff seemed a very good match, and Ballycran raked up the scores against Carryduff

Ports were weak on Monday night after two games on Sunday. Liatroim aren't as bad as some of ye have been making out.

Theyve a strong minor set-up and played their minors in the narrow win against Castlewellan and the narrow defeat to Portaferry. Liatroim and Warrenpoint will be safe this year I think

Is it the same ref every week who doesnt text in the score?

I called the Clonduff score spot on!!

Surprised that Carryduff lost at home to Ballyvarley. They are a one man team.
