The man with the three legged dog told me it was all but certain that Ballygalget won't be fielding a thirds team, says some 'managers' didn't have any time for people only wanting a bit of social hurling.

1 league would be good to see as really there isnt much diff between div1 and 2 teams bar maybe ards 2nds. this is proven by fact everyone in down divisions in jnr champ this yr. have one league and try get it finished

Facts are facts the three Ards clubs are struggling to field two hurling teams on the same night, who wouldnt and immigration is making it worse.Could the division one football teams field their first and reserve teams on the same night at different venues

Good point Jeremiah. There are some Div 1 fball clubs that defo couldnt. Time to go for 1 div and give it a try for a year or two. Therell be a few hidings from the Ards teams but it actually could bring on some mainland clubs and take the pressure of Ards teams. Between Down and Antrim league wud that not giv ards teams 2 reserve games per week?

Only 8 league matches?

What about the IHC?

Yeah it leaves a few questions.

There hasn't been a breath of the IHC and it looks like its out the window, unless its 'experimented' with this season. The huge extension of the JHC must mean that all other clubs bar the SHC compete for the JHC in mini-league format along with knockout. The SHC only has four teams (Ards, and I presume Bredagh) so that leaves 9 teams for the JHC, but it has quarter-finals to be played, rendering the round robin fixtures pointless???

Not clear on how the 13 teams are gonna be divided into two leagues or one? Last year there was 8 teams in both leagues with each club having to play 14 fixtures each, but with the Ards thirds potentially scrapped, dunno how its gonna pan out

As i understand we (bredagh) are playing in the JHC this year, not sure who would make up the four in the SHC, possibly kilclief as they won IHC last year???
