Ive been told ballycran had a senior panellist sent off in Clonduff on saturday?? id ask why he got sent off but im quicker to ask why a senior panellist was playing for ballycran thirds?

Was told that 4 seniors "needed match practice" for their championship match. Sent off for striking with the hurl off the ball.

was talking to BALLELA boys there!!! they are not going down to div 2 next year, they will have all there players back for next year I.E: JONATHAN MC CUSKER, MALAGHY MAGEE, NEIL BURNS, DAN MC CUSKER, JOHN HAUGHY, DOLAN MC CANN, CALVIN MAGEE, and they say they will have there u16 star RYAN MC CUSKER, jonathans brother into the seniors at center half back along with EUGENE MAGEES brother EOIN who is also surposed to be very good!!!!! they look a very strong team next year if all these boys r back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! far to strong for div 2

Down website updated slightly, shows Castlewellan and Bredaghs final standings after 14 games. Ballygalget V Carryduff still not updated. Dunno about Portaferry V Ballycran fixture even happening as it wouldnt affect league standings. It was a tight enough league this year Div 2, but Portaferry walked it. Is Div 1 getting finished because the cut-off date for hurling is this Sunday I believe, with the relegation issue still to be sorted?

ballela would eat down div 2 alive , they are way too strong for that league. Shame to see theyve not got a lot coming through though , however on the lads post above it is promising to hear some young lads (albeit 2 or 3) are stepping up and filling the void.

Does ballela have an underage team in place , such as an under 14s , 16s or minors to come through at any stage? just wondering as i havent heard much about them at underage level in a while.... also mal magee and johnny mc cusker would be on cricket scores themselves in that league and im not joking, the leagues standard is very poor

Good luck to the Down teams in action this weekend. With the exception of Ballygalgets win in the senior 4 or 5 years ago Down teams haven't done well in Ulster.

Carryduff can beat Creggan who play in Antrim Div 4. Kliclief will get it harder against Castleblaney who alway have a couple of Guards from Tipp or Kilkenny on their team.

Carryduff to win by 5, Kilclief to lose by 2.

Love to see Carryduff do well. But I cant see them getting past Creggan. If Burt get past Strabane this weekend, they will beat winners of Monaghan/Na Magha. Creggan will beat Ballymchugh. It will be a Burt/Creggan final with Burt to win in the final. Burt are a league above this level, but championship can give strange results at times.

This has been said now many years since this competition started but fact still remains that no Donegal has ever won this, think setanta fell and final hurdle twice and burt have been unlucky a few times. Some of the antrim junior teams can really put it up to teams at a so called higher level. I do think that if burt beat strabane they will win it, although the last time they met in this competition strabane won!

Good point "last to know". But Andy Wallace seems to have Burt really focused this year, the Lory Meagher win gave the whole county a lift. Strabane will be seriously hard to beat though-so an upset here wouldnt be unexpected. As i said if they beat Strabane they will beat Monaghan or Na Magha who I believe already beat Lisnaskea in preliminary round.
Creggan will not get it esay against Carryduff but with 2 Antrim seniors in your squad you would expect them to just squeeze through. Ballymchugh are a bit of an unknown quantity and will be fresh as they got straight into semis-dont know what happened to Derrynoose, but again I think Creggan will have too much here and this will set up a very tough final.

Creggan are good at this level, thats what happened. Creggan will dispose of Ballymchugh with ease at this rate in semi. Does anyone know why Burt/Strabane wasnt played? Na Magha beat Monaghan Harps, so they will play Strabane/Burt. Still looks like Creggan/Burt final.

To be fair to carryduff, Cregin are a fantastic outfit. They would have beat any of the intermediate teams playing today with ease also.
