Clonduff are going to div 1 next year: Thats a fact, I was talking a few of their players the night of their Ulster League defeat and they said they are going Div 1 in Down and to Div 4 in Ulster League so that they can improve their hurling by playing better standard. about time i say! They have a very young squad mainly all around 22 bar one or experienced men but they seem to reckon they'll suprise a few if they get the right training. Will be funny to see who out of shamrocks or Bredagh will be going down; Div 1 will still be played amoungst ards and Liatrom no doubt; Warrenpoint mite get a shock next year when Liatroim men are saying Clonduff were a harder opponent just unfit so the fontenoys could pull away at the end. Carryduff are constantly improving; good to see these clubs making a push to hurling oustside the ards....still a massive Gap but has to start somewhere TheKingdomgael (Down) - Posts: 167 - 07/09/2011 17:51:24 1029363 Link 0 |

Dont shoot the messenger gerryc, but if your gerry their manager then maybe its them you should talk to as they seem dead set on progressing to role with the bigger boys and try their hand on new levels TheKingdomgael (Down) - Posts: 167 - 08/09/2011 18:03:16 1030119 Link 0 |
I was talking to the whole panel and Both Clonduff teams will definitely be playing in ? next year. and thats a fact. gerryc (Down) - Posts: 135 - 08/09/2011 21:40:22 1030293 Link 0 |
There's still all to play for in Div 2 if the top Non Ards team can be promoted. Clonduff, Castlewellan or Carryduff could all do it but they have to arranhe to get the games played. Frank Mitchell (Down) - Posts: 1082 - 09/09/2011 09:56:16 1030376 Link 0 |
how would bredagh go down when the only team that plays in down is the 2nds, and they play in div 2 bgael (None) - Posts: 211 - 09/09/2011 11:06:17 1030424 Link 0 |
Bgael - I think they meant Ballela/Shamrocks are the ones who could go down. Suas Sios (None) - Posts: 1558 - 09/09/2011 11:50:18 1030457 Link 0 |
