Why is bredagh not in div 1 league in down this year? Thought they where the up and coming team. Where they not going 2 win the championship in so many years?

there is probably a better standard in antrim div 3 than down div 1 also you have to look at the ards senior team
if i may ask what division are they in?????

Well as they say, you'd be a better third choice keeper at Barcelona as to first choice at Linfield swifts.

Catch my drift.

if u think div3 in Antrim is better than div 1 in Down and bredagh av aspirations in doin well in div3 would it no be more logical to wine div1 in Down first. they aint even r wernt even in the top three in Down div1. thats like saying Linfield r goin for the champ league next year, its never goin to appen. take ur head from down ur arse bredagh and wake up an smell the coffee!!!!!!!

The long-term aspirations of bredagh is to be an established senior hurling club in down, along with the three ards teams, whos 1sts play in the antrim leagues. With this in mind, surely logic would suggest to focus on the antrim league where there is more opportunity for progression.

Would playing in a league that actually gets finished not be more beneficial than playing in one that never gets finished. pretty sure bredagh came third in the down league last year, so maybe you should pull your own head out of your hole before mouthing off

Carryduffabum,

I'll try and make this as clear and concise as I can;

The Ards senior teams compete in the Antrim ACHL Div1, along with Dunloy, Loughgeil, etc's first teams.

The Ards teams that compete in Div1 and Div2 in Down are known in the Ards as the seconds and thirds as they have to name an exclusion list of 13 for Div1 and a further 12 players for Div2.
They also compete in the reserve leagues and championships in Antrim where they name an exclusion list of a first 15.

For what it's worth I think Bredagh are doing the right thing even if it is to the detriment of the Down Div1 hurling league. They will need to start climbing the Antrim leagues to really progress and its prudent to start now. i don't know how long it will take, but you got to start sometime.

How did the Ports V Galgets go last night?

bricktop go back and put the tiles on the roof

that whole thing with the top 13,12 and 15 is a load of crap there are players you name not even in the country, absolute shambles if your asking me, as when the likes of Bredagh and Carryduff beat the ards at underage you's come back and say we cant even beat are thirds, you's cheaters, you's put some 2nds players in the 3rds team

Carryduff abu speaks for only himself, and not everyone in his club. Which raises a question - What club do you belong to Frank Mitchell?

In Division one Kilclief stuffed Ballela as well.
division two Clonduff beat bredagh seconds by half dozen points or so. Ballycran thirds beat castlewellan well.
No other results that I know of.
Some teams haven't played a match yet in the league, hardly an auspicious start to the down leagues.
