St. Peter's reserves travelled last night and got a heavy beating. Nonetheless good to see them back and it was a league fixture. St_Peters (Down) - Posts: 85 - 22/06/2010 13:43:58 683838 Link 0 |

I hear Kilclief won't travel to Newry without Fintan Conway. Always Right (Down) - Posts: 221 - 23/06/2010 16:58:55 685145 Link 0 |
Shamrocks arrival in Kilclief earlier this year was a surprise to many - not least the Kilclief team. Rumours of this uncharacteristic willingness by Shamrocks to fulfill an away fixture was also on the verge of making local news too. In reality, with increasing surveillance and clamping down on fuel smuggling near the border, people in Newry are actually having to pay full price for diesel and petrol! With this in mind I think we can all sympathise with the Shamrocks predicament of facing large fuel bills these days and in future lay off recriminations when they don't turn up at games. Perhaps AlwaysRight will not be as quick to rebuke others too... HurlingVoice (Down) - Posts: 8 - 24/06/2010 09:41:29 685580 Link 0 |

From what i hear both shamrocks and kilclief agreed to have the game re-fixtured to mon nite..If it was such a big deal without conway would shamrocks have agreed to the change? hurley_head (Down) - Posts: 7 - 24/06/2010 15:09:31 686102 Link 0 |
Thats a huge result for Bredagh in Portaferry. Their 2nds drew with Carryduff in Cherryvale. We were 6 up at half time but a bredagh goal and many soft frees got them back in to it. Suas Sios (None) - Posts: 1558 - 24/06/2010 15:58:12 686183 Link 0 |

you mean the div2 game vs the Duff? Aye, the operative word being 'after' the game. Needless really but I don't know who started it so I'll say nothing more about it. It was a fiesty game all the way and more exciting than that which the footballers served up in recent derbys. Suas Sios (None) - Posts: 1558 - 25/06/2010 14:45:56 687084 Link 0 |

Div 2 HL - Ballygalget v Clonduff - Clonduff Hurlers journeyed for the last time this season to the Ards to play Ballygalget. Paddy Braniff's charges had been on a strict diet and exercise program from the last time these two teams met, as a lean and youthful 'galget took to the field and playing with a very strong wind soon held a commanding lead . Clonduff went in at half time trailing by 11 pts. Having conceded two late goals just before half time. The second half saw the yellows set about reducing this lead with three well taken goals against the Co Minor Goalkeeper. But this time Clonduff just couldn't get the points to go over as the wind played havoc with the sliaotar. Final Score 3-16 to Clonduff 3-03. Next game against Castlewellan in Clonduff Park Wednesday 7 July 7:30 pm rebelyell (Down) - Posts: 38 - 01/07/2010 18:23:56 693625 Link 0 |
