30/07/2009 16:27:03 murphys_law County: Tyrone Posts: 57 370125 Laugh all you want lads - fact of the matter is Pomeroy have went further than any Tyrone club by making an All Ireland final at the Intermediate grade in 2004, No Tyrone club has won the Intermediate Ulster final since. There has never been an All Ireland club final competed for by a Tyrone club at senior level so Pomeroy are still way ahead of the rest of the pack, others have a bit of catching up to do yet. As this is an Intermediate or DIV 2 thread we were the giants of intermediate football and will be back, mark my words. Up the plunketts. By that logic, Greencastle are way ahead of the pack murphys_law. However I've more cop on than that. Clearly Carmen and Errigal lead the way in Tyrone football. As for Greencastle, it's looking like it's our year to finally break into Senior football. What a terrific achievement that would be the young lads and particularly Sean Teague.

Think alot of greencastle posters are setting themselves up for a fall and its not as clear cut as alot of people think. Still alot of football to be played and I would put a wager on that greencastle will drop at least another 2pts before the end of the season

If that comes to pass BobbyB and it is a distinct possibility, we can still be proud of our performance this year.

i totally agree with you ancaisleanglas, but it would be better to talk about div 1 and great performances when the league and championship is over

Forgive me if it was coming across that way, but I wasn't claiming that Div 1 status was a certainy this year. It can go belly-up now. This is the closest we've come and I'm getting a little excited. Not too much mind. I can still see Cookstown pipping us at the post.

My neighbours versus cookstown? Should be a good one. Stop Michael Hagan and cookstown should get through it. Half back?? Kelly I think. very good attacking half back. Then again Laverys Bar Fc have the home advantage. Interesting?

Go on the neighbours Highcross.
It is a bit early i know to be shouting.
I think its more in hope us once lowly club are in at the minute.
Dispite all the fronts we are in at the minute,
nothing could be there when the year is over.

Cookstown beat Moortown on Friday night, the pressure is now on, don't think the Green can handle pressure. For once I agree with watching when he says that he does'nt think they will win another match. A wee bit of advice from a man from a bigger and successful club would be less talk and more action iof you's want to get to where you's want to go. The Play-offs at best is the way its looking withCookstown league, Moortown championship, Gortin for the play-offs.

I doubt you are misquoting Watching a wee bit there Murph, you will be of course saddened to hear that Greencastle wiped the floor with Derrylaughan at home today and are still on course for an automatic promotion place. These boys will keep their nerve when the going gets tough.

good result for greencastle today, goin by the result it doesnt seem that derrylaughan put up much of a challenge. Cant seem tham slipping up and it looks like cookstown are goin to settle for 2nd position.

Im not too sure what way the promotions work, is it top place get automatic promotion and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th go into a play off with who ever wins that qualifying? could someone just clarify this please

Looks like relegation for killyman and stewartstown. Heard there was a bit of a brawl in Gortin v Augher?

Good win for Greencastle at the weekend.
Looking like a two horse race to the finish.
Gortin slipped up with their draw with Augher.
Bit of a dust up at the end.
Augher defender got hit in the back of the head.
Taken to hospital as a precaution, hopefully ok.
Good wins for Strabane and Urney, looks like S/Town and K/Man for the drop.
