Are Nadine's family not from Strabane, Tyrone?

I'm not sure, but I think they have roots in Strabane though, and shortly after finding fame, before she really took off, she visited the Ballycolman in Strabane to see relatives and friends and said it would become difficult to visit again. Still probably belongs to Derry more than Tyrone I suppose. By the way I work in Derry and there's plenty of banter and rivalry, but overwhelmingly good feeling between Derry and Tyrone.

I'm ashamed. Keep it quiet - Civil Service. Met loads of great Derry Gaels through it though. Part of the reason for the rivalry I think, is that Derry and Tyrone people are very similar. Large parts of Derry were actually historically part of Tyrone!

Orlaith you are seriously over exaggerating the situation in the city, you make it sound like there are barely 15 players to make up a team!!

Also, Screen is the GAA club which takes in the different areas of Straw, Draperstown, Moneyneena, Sixtowns etc.

No she didn't very few people in Derry have played football, Their lives is dominated with soccer, Very few people know how to play football up here. I play for one of the few football clubs in the city and the girls who play are all from grammar schools, I'm the only from a non grammar. So maybe football is forced into them in grammar schools because for PE all we do is athletics and netball.

Stick to the athletics. The non-grammar schools are right, not enough good athletes coming through in this country. You don't know, you could be Ireland's next Derval O'Rourke? What is your best event? Can you sprint like Shelly Ann Fraser or have you the endurance of Turinish Dibaba? Or maybe you are an all-rounder like Jess Ennis?

Do you not learn grammar in the non grammar schools by the way? I think 90% of HS posters attended non grammar schools.
